Works as advertised
This paper worked exactly as advertised. We used it on our laundry room ceiling as a base layer for a decorative wallpaper. The ceiling had leftover openings from old light fixtures and a fan, and this liner provided a smooth, clean surface. I would definitely recommend the Wallpaper Heavy Duty Wall Liner for projects like this.

Smooths out rough walls
I am so happy with this wallpaper liner. Our house is 100 years old, and the half bathroom has plastered walls that were stamped to look like tile. In addition, there was a lot of cracking and areas past owners had tried to fix. I was looking for a DIY project to make it look nice without a complete redo. My mom suggested wallpaper liner which I had never heard of. This was very easy to install for my first solo project and really smoothed out the walls. I applied my wallpaper on top and it looks amazing! The lines from the fake tile are not visible at all. Two thumbs up!!

Works nicely over "fuzzy" wallpaper-stripped drywall
Arrived lightning fast, despite a 10-day delivery estimate. Our handyman tried it for the first time and reports it works well for upcoming painting. No clue how it would work over paneling, as "heavy duty" seems to be something of an exaggeration.

Great product
My house was built in 1900 and has shiplap walls. The boards are imperfectly aligned after 121 years of the house shifting around so I needed a liner to create a smooth surface for wallpaper. First, I thoroughly dusted the walls and applied a clear water-based primer and let it dry/cure for a week. Next, I applied a thick coat of wallpaper adhesive to the wall before applying the liner. It will not adhere with a thin coat. I overlapped the edges to prevent lifting without worrying about the seams showing through because the wallpaper had a lot of texture. I again let the adhesive thoroughly dry for a week. Last, I applied the thickly textured wallpaper with a normal amount of adhesive. The liner didn't wrinkle, bubble or 'unstick.' The wallpaper adhered to the liner perfectly. Neither the wallpaper nor the liner budged when I painted the wallpaper. If you are going to use a thin, light wallpaper over the liner, I recommend using a white primer because the liner is not opaque.

Great to cover paneled walls
Worked very well to cover paneling before wallpaper installation.

It’s a basic wall paper liner. I’ve used much better and thicker papers that will truly cover gaps and other imperfections better than this product. It’s fairly think as papers go but easy to put up with paste. It Did paint easily and well. I just don’t think it covers imperfections well enough to recommend.

Nice and thick
This works really well for us. It takes some practice using it but as long as you are generous with the glue and use a plastic scraper to adhere it to the wall it works great!

Didn’t cover imperfections at all.
It was easy to put on particularly if you know how to wallpaper. Didn’t cover imperfections in the least, even with a second coat. If I hadn’t used most of it and then thrown it away, I would have requested a refund. Worst thing I ever bought on Amazon.
