I didn't want to spend a fortune to try something new out, so I replaced the bottom clips so they would hook into my camelbak and used the carabiner style clips up top.The quality of the pack exceeded my expectations both from a material and zipper standpoint. The loops on the bottom are fairly useless, but don't detract from anything.
