Premium quality
This bed has an amazing quality. It’s immediately apparent once you see the wood. Very solid- just as it should be. The color is beautiful as is, but I decided to stain and finish mine to match existing furniture. I’ve never stained or finished wood so this was a first for me! I chose not to stain the mattress slats but stained everything else. (Twin XL) For anyone wondering what I used for staining/finishing this bed: - Minwax pre-stain wood conditioner - Minwax red mahogany wood penetrating oil stain (one coat) - Minwax fast drying polyurethane clear satin (3 coats) - 220 and 320 sandpaper Anyway I just love how beautiful this bed is, I love the natural wood grain that is present. It really shows off its quality. I really love how the stain brought out the natural wood grain as well. I will say FYI that most of the notches for the mattress slats are rough/kind of splintery on the edges (where the top side is/mattress sits). I just sanded them down slightly because I was worried about the mattress dragging across it, or my kiddo getting curious and running his fingers under the mattress one day. Assembly was super easy. Very pleased. I ended up laying down anti-slip material on top of the slats but I’m not sure if it’s necessary- I did it just in case. My kid loves his bed and I will be updating this to see how it holds up but so far it has been VERY solid and sturdy. No squeaking. We bought a 10 inch twin xl mattress here on Amazon (Coolvie 10 Inch Hybrid Mattress) just to clarify to anyone for mattress size/height reference on my photos. This is truly a great bed! A premium quality product and I am so happy I decided to buy this bed for my kiddo! **update** It’s been about three months now that my kiddo has had this, no problems with it at all. We did tighten the screws as suggested one month into using it. Still really solid and sturdy, no squeaking at all. We (parents) sit on it all the time too. We love it! Edit # 2- Six months later and we still love this bed. No issues and I highly recommend this bed! Edit # 3 - 4 years later and still loving this bed. Even now it doesn’t squeak or get creaky. Son is still using it and he loves his bed! 10/10

Worth
It was delivered today (3 days early). It took an hour to put together with a cordless drill and 2 people who have assembled a ton of ikea furniture. It’s simple, but good quality and very sturdy. The platform height and floor clearance is perfectly thought out. Brings the mattress height to a comfortable height and though it’s exactly king sized and not an inch more, it still feels substantial. The wood is solid and perfectly cut and sanded. It’s unfinished with subtle grain variations. There are some slats with dark coloring but only on the under frame slats you will never see. The wood could easily be painted, stained, whitewashed… but I like the raw look and feel. Gives a Swedish vibe with much better quality compared to ikea… really not a fair comparison. Most importantly, I feel confident in my doggos hanging out under the bed safely and they have plenty of room down there. Kind of in love with this bed frame!

Good Looking, Easy to Customize & Assemble
I bought this bed for several reasons: storage potential, materials, and customization opportunity. The floor-to-platform clearance under this bed, with no middle support leg, was a huge selling point for me. If you get the Queen sized frame you can fit both the Trundle and Drawers (on opposite sides and ordered separately) under the bed which allows for quite a bit of very customizable storage vs. many bed frames on the market with built in drawers. The solid, Tulip Poplar wood was another big selling point. You'll see in some of the photos I have attached that the natural color is pretty light - personally, I found this very attractive. Out of the box some of the ends were a little rough and there was one major dent (probably due to shipping) on one of the leg pieces. I used 220 grit sand paper to soften the edges and take off any roughness, but there wasn't much. The dent wasn't bad enough for me to justify sending it back (you don't even see it, since it is on the leg against the wall). I read another customer's in-depth review about staining their frame and it was super helpful (ie: I didn't stain / finish the center beams, that just support the mattress). Since this was my first wood-related project I read several articles online (and watched several youtube videos) about Tulip Poplar, and the best options for finishing the wood. Some helpful takeaways: my frame had streaks of green in the wood; but this will turn a bit more brown in color over time, you can hasten the change by setting the boards out in the sun for a few hours. I laid mine on the back patio and opted for a clear coat of Satin Wipe-On Poly which is why they're spaced out in my photo. I did the first two coats and then sanded with 440 grit sand paper and did a third coat based on recommendations. I have to agree, sanding between coats 2 and 3 is the way to go. I tried a few boards with three coats, no sanding between, and they are noticeable more rough - I ended up sanding and re-coating. By sanding in between you will get a silky smooth finish. I posted a photo with the various supplies I used to help anyone who likes the look (though it's not really distinguishable from the out-of-box color, it is protected better from wear). Just in case, I did take a photo of the color difference between a naked board and one with three coats of the Wipe-On Poly. It seemed to make things a smidge darker and "warmer". Assembly was incredibly easy and straight forward, but it did help to have a buddy and a power drill. As soon as it was finished we plopped the mattress on and I jumped right on it. Seems sturdy and my first guest had no problems. Update: several guests and 5 months later, still in great shape.

A very nice bed frame!
Just received this bed frame. This could just be the purchase of the year for me! The assembly process was very smooth. All needed hardware was supplied, directions plain and simple. Plenty of room under the bed for storage. No legs to get in the way of storage boxes so you basically have the whole bed footprint at your command. In fact, ONLY four legs to deal with. This will make walking around the bed easier while making it up. No stubbing the toes or inadvertantly kicking a leg possibly causing damage to the frame. This frame appears to be very sturdy. I have to admit it's only been a short time so any added comments may be in line for the future. I had been looking for a bed frame for about five months (pert near daily) to replace the current frame. looked at metal and wood. I did want one with a headboard and footboard. Although this frame has no footboard, I feel I have made a very worthwile purchase. Should the manufacturer ever decide to make one for this frame, I will be the first in line to purchase it. All in all, I would recomend the purchase of this frame. Economical, ease of assembly, sturdy, and nice looking. Plus, you can change the appearence with stain, paint, or leave natural, as is. Very much worth the addition to the casa.

Great Product and Company!
I am really happy that I went with this bed frame. The initial motivation was to get an attractive bed frame at a very good price that was made of real wood. The appearance and finish quality of the pieces were very good and care was taken to select wood. You can decide if you want more or less character by which pieces you want to be seen. I chose to apply 3 coats of oil-based satin polyurethane to bring out grain and provide some basic protection. The first coat was undiluted and 2, 3 were thinned by 25%. The finish is very thin and the character of the wood is retained. I had emails to the company and found their staff to be incredibly responsive. Marty answered my emails same day and readily offered to send me replacement hardware for missing parts. My error, I misplaced them, but offer to replace them at their cost was fantastic. There is a great company behind this great product!

Great SOLID wood Bed frame for a great price!!
I just received this bed yesterday and let me tell you I am not disappointed. At first my husband and I were shopping for a solid wood frame, no pressed wood or veneer particle board type bed. We have already been down that road and while it did hold up for 6+ years I can tell you that it really didn't fit our mattress and at one point the supports for the middle kept slipping out to the point I gave up trying to fix it anymore. Fast forward to having put together and owned this frame for a day I must say it is truly a solid frame. Everything came packaged in a long box probably 5 or 6ft long and wrapped with some heavy duty band material. For the size and weight of this box (70+ lbs) the box was in better shape then some really small packages I have received. we opened the box and sorted the parts out in their respective categories and opened the 1 package of hardware needed to assemble the bed and got to work. Between both of us it probably took us about 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs to put together. For as many parts that came in the box it LOOKED complicated, but as we progressed it really wasn't hard or difficult at all. We had literally no issues trying to figure out the directions. The directions were very well written and described every little detail that is needed to make sure mistakes don't happen. All the holes are predrilled, and required no modifications on our part. Some dowel holes were a little tight to fit together, but nothing that a slight tap from a rubber mallet couldn't fix. (I didn't mind this because I wouldn't want a bed frame that sqeaks or falls apart later anyways.) Overall, this SOLID WOOD bed frame, the directions, the very attractive price tag, and the sturdiness all make me give this bed frame an A++. I would highly recommend getting something like this if you are: in the market for a bed frame that is solid wood, doesn't cost a kidney, don't want to wait forever for a furniture store to deliver your $2k+ bed frame (not including matteress), and the ability to customize it should you feel the need to. Paint it, stain it, you name it, you can do whatever you want to make it your own work. Get this bed! You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely Solid Sturdy & Beautifully Natural Bed Frame
I recently purchased this natural poplar wood bed frame, which came all the from across the US to me here in Seattle. It is very smooth poplar wood, nice feel to it. I noticed some of the piece's had natural marble like hues in the wood, so beautiful. This bed frame was easy to put together, my friend help do most of the work, it took him about 40 minutes non stop, didn't even need a power drill, the nails went smoothly into the holes, once everything was lined up. I wish I would have videoed the process and got a picture before my new mattress and bedding was put on but I forgot, I was so excited to try it out. And it is so comfortable to sleep on with my new mattress. I am a heavy woman, and this bed stays right in place, along with my new firm mattress, it is wonderful for my back problems. I am so glad I came across this unique bed frame, it is quite lovely. The producer did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend this bed frame to other people, for a sturdy and attractive choice. 👍👍👍

Very Sturdy
This is a great bed frame. I love that it's made in the US. It's super sturdy. No creaks or noise when I toss and turn. The hardware is nice and everything fit together fine. Maybe a small thing but best of all to me is no middle leg. I can't count how many times I stubbed my toes on the middle leg of my old frame! A few things to note, this is unfinished wood so will need to be stained or painted. Something I failed to plan for until I unboxed it. The wood was all nice though and a few coats of all in one polly and stain was all I used. The other is that for some reason I really struggled putting together the headboard. The video is great and it wasn't hard to see how it went together. I just found the pieces with dowels didn't go together as smoothly as shown in the video. I had to use a rubber mallet to get them in. Also attaching the top and bottom pieces with slats between was a chore that might have been easier with two people.

Sturdy and Well Built
I ordered 2 twinXL beds and they came in a long narrow box with all of the hardware and clear instructions on how to put it together. The beds are elegant, very sturdy, and easy to put together. The surface of the wood is a bit rough and does need sanding and a coat of varnish or paint. My recommendation to the builders of these beds is to sand and varnish the surface before shipping them to your costumers. I do love a natural finish and would have preferred a natural varnish finish would have been done at the manufacturer’s facility because I do not like the smell of varnish lingering in my small apartment. On the other hand, the bed is strong and elegant and would not hesitate recommending it to others.

Great platform bedframe!!! Holding strong after a years use!!
Love these beds! It's been nearly a year since a ordered them (ordered 2), and they are still holding strong! They were easy to assemle, no creaking/squeeking with lots of options for finishing the wood. 10/10 product, would most definately buy again. I looked around for months before buying a platform bedframe as I didn't want something made of cheep materials that would break and these beds were the best that I found online and I am so happy I went with these!!!
