Gore is still the best but not the cheapest.
I’ve tried other materials besides Gortex but keep coming back to it. It really does breathe better than the competition. Since Gore is sorta going out of business, I feel lucky to have found this jacket. I’m not crazy about the zipper, but the rest is great.

Value for your money
Be careful, tight arms and poor breathability as expected in this kind of material. Taking out this is a great jacket, good waterproof layer and proper value for your money

Beware the sizing! "Large" will get you a "medium", EU/US sizing differences.
I'll go ahead and give this item 5 stars, but beware the sizing. I chose "large" and received a "medium". The tag said it was large-EU but "medium-US". It barely fits me, with no room underneath for an insulating layer. The sleeves are tight. I'm outside ALL the time, so I'll wear this out eventually. I like it enough to buy another (X-large), just hoping it's big enough. Extraordinarily lightweight (4.7oz), very waterproof, very stretchy. My other jackets are almost-waterproof, but this one is waterproof.

has potential
wasn't what i was looking for, but could be more. i was looking for something to comfortably wear warmer out but still a hood and this does that but its a bit heavier than i wanted or was looking for. could wear with a shirt under as a vest type with a hood, but thats just not me, but we'll see. colors are nice and it does work like a regular jacket.

Stay Dry - use this!
This is an excellent product. Sizing fits well. The material is excellent water repellent material. The hood has a great feature where there is some form to the edge of it that really allows you to get the hood where you want to and get it to stay tight and not have any water drip onto your face. I use the jacket the very first day that I got it in the middle of a rainstorm and it served its purpose well. I highly recommend this. Check out my video and you can see how well it fits and all of the features around the pockets and the sleeves and the hood. Overall this is a great waterproof solution when you need to go out in the rain.

Order up one size-great quality!
My final test for this running jacket occurred on a rainy, cool (58 degrees) morning in Northern California. The jacket is super quality, very thin and fashionable and protected me very well against rain and cool weather. I like the breathability of the jacket-during the month of testing, I never got too hot or cold. The jacket kept my body temperature just right. Note, I always wear a thin T-shirt underneath because I don’t like the cool fabric against my skin i.e. barrier. Notable areas for improvement: the jacket size runs small so if you have a large chest like me; you should order an Xtra large for total comfort. The cut design in the chest area under the arm cut is excessively narrow and doesn’t allow for upper arm movement conducive for lower/upper body running movement. Also, I had a minor issue with the zipper becoming detached, which is alarming considering the super high price for the jacket.

10 stars, best rain jacket ever
This rain jacket is a comfortable, slim fit, it's extremely light-weight, and it's crazy waterproof. Best rain coat I've ever owned. I really like that's it's not a heavy coat. It blocks the wind, and breathes well, but I don't overheat when on the go like I do in cheap coats. Water beads up on the surface extremely well. I really like the magnet that locks back the hood when not in use. There are no loose and bouncy parts on the jacket that bother me. Speaking of the hood, it is also slim with a small bill. The worst part of the rain to me is when my glasses get all wet, and the bill on the hood is not enough to protect the glasses. No problem, a baseball cap fits just fine under the hood. I also really like that the main zipper is double-ended. I can unzip normally, or pull up from the bottom to support my running belt, bags, or otherwise vent. The elastic-cloth of the wrist cuff is substantial. The arm is not going to ride up my arm. Though, it isn't as waterproof as the main shell. Speaking of, the ventilation panels on the inner-front torso are proving great for ventilation. For a rain coat like this, determining value is tough. There's no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best rain coats I'll ever experience, but the price tag is fairly large. I think it's worth it, but I know I'll struggle to afford another one.

Super high tech activewear jacket, runs small
All of the Gore Wear jackets my family has are very high quality, made of fabrics engineered to repel water and retain heat while not adding much bulk. This jacket has all of the usual Gore Wear pros, with high quality fabrics, thoughtful design that puts pockets where you need them, a dual zipper front, reflective tape accents, and elasticized cuffs. One star off because even in the XXL size, the jacket isn't big enough around, just extra long. If I wear it over a bulky sweater I won't be able to zip it shut, and I specifically chose the XXL to fit over bulky sweaters and layers. In terms of diameter it's more like a Medium. My family has three Gore Wear jackets in different sizes, and they all seem to be about the same diameter. Going to a higher size only makes the jacket and sleeves longer.

Top Jacke
