M12かリベット出来ると書いてあるから、M12で使った。 たったの3個で取っ手がまがり、付け根が折れた。 マジで使えない劣化コピー品なので気を付けて!! ちなみに私業者なので変な使い方してませんから。

I ordered this tool this morning and it arrived hours later the same day. I was impressed by the packaging (molded plastic case), though wondered why they didn't create molded slots to store the extra mandrels with the tool. The riveter was sturdy with a nice weight and seemed to be of good quality. The instruction sheet was unclear and the photos barely helpful; probably sufficient for someone already familiar with such a tool and the nomenclature, but otherwise it took a bit of reading, re-reading, and inspecting the tool before I could understand what the instructions meant. The tool generally seemed to work well and as intended. I did not experience the difficulty squeezing together the handles that some reviewers wrote of; perhaps different size rivnuts? (I was installing 6mm x 1.0) I noticed flakes of metal each time after I disconnected from an installed rivnut and, after fastening about 5-6 rivnuts, the mandrel threads became stripped and I was unable to complete the job (I only needed to install 16 rivnuts). Eventually I was unable to thread the rivnut onto the mandrel, so I visited 6 hardware stores (from big box to mom & pop) and found nothing. I then searched online and found only a complete set of mandrels on Amazon for $35 (I only paid $49 for the entire kit -- tool, mandrels, and rivets), so it made no sense to pay $35 more just to replace one defective mandrel. There are no singular mandrel replacements available for purchase. Too bad... I really wanted to like (and keep) this tool, but the unavailability of parts makes it a no-go for me.

Not worth the money. The handles are stamped from mild steel and are not up for the task. They will work for the smaller sized rivnuts, but when I used the tool on the 3/8" sized zivnuts in the kit the tool broke.

I bought this, worked decently the first 2 times. The nut stayed in place. But the bolt going in is going in with difficulty since the threads are a bit bent. So I took it as hey this is not a bug but a feature. After trying the M3 once, the threads on the tool got stripped and now I can't even use it. I would accept a refund or a better tool

I originally bought this because I wanted captive fasteners on my trailer fender. I’ve since used it on a handful of other projects. I’ve been very pleased with it! It works really well. The longer handles make it so it’s not very difficult to set the rivet nuts, though care has to be taken to not pull out the threads. I’ve used the M4, M6, 1/4, and 3/8 mandrels and they’ve worked great. There was on mandrel I tried to use, either the M3 or the M5, that did not fit the rivet nuts that came in the kit. Not a big deal, but kind of odd and a little annoying.

Tension nut is rough machined. Very coarse to the point of not being able to hand tighten. The compression screw threads are so thin they release tension before the nut can lock in. This is under engineered junk.
