正直に言って、これまで使ってきたナニワの「剛研DX」「赤門前DX」「剛研新」と比べると、CERAXは格段に優れています。ただし、「剛研玄人」との違いとなると、主に研ぎ心地の差くらいでしょうか。それくらい、非常に高いレベルで互角に張り合っていると感じます。また、研いだあとに砥石に黒い跡が残るのがCERAX、跡が残らないのが剛研玄人という違いもあります。黒い跡は、刃が砥石にどう当たっているかを確認する目安になるので便利ですが、人によっては好みが分かれるところかもしれません。初心者の方におすすめするなら、研ぎ方の癖を把握するのにも役立つことから、私はCERAXを推します。価格も手頃ですしね。ただ、もし使っていて減りが早いと感じるなら、「2020」や「3030」のようなタイプを選ぶのが良いかもしれません。まだ一度しか使っていないので、今後使い続けるうちに評価が変わる可能性もあります。

滑り止めも良く。使いやすい。

globalの包丁を研ぐのに購入しました。今までシャープナーを使っていましたが、こちらで研いだ方が当然ですが切れ味は違います。

しっかりと研磨力があります。初めて使う方は返りの出過ぎに注意が必要です。研ぎ上がりの綺麗さはキング砥石に軍配が上がります。

使いやすいく重宝しております。料理が楽しくなりました。包丁も長持ちしそうです。

私は植木屋で、刈り込み鋏を研ぎますが、使い易いです。

他の砥石を色々試したわけでは無いですが、切れる刃がしっかりつきます。出来れば面直しをしつつが良いと思います。

This is an excellent ceramic sharpening stone from a reputable company. I use solely for sharpening my Japanese knives but is just as suitable for your more day to day kitchen knives. The stone comes in a nice box and includes a small stone to create that all important ‘slurry’ when sharpening your knives. It also comes with a ‘rubber’ holder for the stone which helps protect it from damage. Be sure to make sure you dry the stone before putting back in box (if that’s what you do) because mould will grow within the cardboard box; lesson learnt. Good price from Amazon and would highly recommend this stone.

Great stone, I love the larger platform, I can get consistent strokes with longer knives. The 1000 grit is just right for almost all of my kitchen knives. To get any sharper I need to move to a 3000 - 4000 grit to finish with razor sharpness which is not really necessary.

9.5/10 if this was a spash and go it would be a 10 but for the price, it's totally worth it. Great for repairs and sharpening and will work on most knives and toolsNow the specifics:This stone is affordable but definitely feels premium, the texture and feedback of the stone rivals some popular brands such as king, while it's speed is on par with the most expensive ones like chosera (not to say the texture isnt also).Despite it's price, it feels expensive and velvety soft like the chosera 1000, and will give you feedback when you're sharpening your knife. Its tough and can last long even if you frequently sharpen.It's easy to clean and won't load up as often, but the mud it produces while sharpening can make a mess if not put on a sink bridge.You can make your knife sharp enough to whittle hair, but it does take practice and you will fail if you're just starting. It's forgiving though and won't dull your blade as much as other harder stones. It works for most knives and tools like Ka-Bars and chisels.A rubber base is included along with a cleaning stone but I find that the rubber base tends to slide around when my surfaces are wet, so I use a third party one. The cleaning stone is around 300-600 hundred grit and is pretty rough, which can do the job but it isnt the best.Overall, I really suggest buying this if you are new to sharpening knives and want to learn, or occasionally sharpen knives and have the time to soak the stone for 20-30 minutes. If you're in a rush, I suggest buying the splash and go version of the stone but it costs more money.(In the video, I used the whetstone and strop, but the stone by itself gives the same result.)
