This Nu-Ice product provides about 10% more (or longer) cooling, but it's also slightly larger (volume-wise) than the Blue Ice. It is thinner (1" vs. 1.5"), so maybe you can sandwich these between food items a little better, but the Blue Ice can stand up on edge in your cooler. Overall the performance is about the same, and given the much higher price of these, I'd just as soon use the Blue Ice packs. Save your money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive Performance *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2014* I've owned these NU-ICE paks for more than a year, but was only able to use them a week ago on a camping trip. Bottom-line - I'm impressed! I used a heavy-gauge Styrofoam cooler to store a case of beverages for the trip. After 5 days of camping, the paks were still solid in the middle. It should be noted that I also had some additional bottled ice in the cooler to compare results. Therefore, it would be somewhat unfair to give all the credit to the paks for this stellar performance, however, after years of using the traditional freezer paks, it is obvious these considerably outperform the cheaper products. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Doesn't work all that well *by K***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2015* This is a big ice pack. It does ok but I'm pretty sure it doesn't last as long as advertised. I'm a pilot and I use it to keep my food cold on 4 day trips. It usually stays cold for the first day without a freezer, but on day two of the trip its cold but not frozen, so I don't trust it to keep my food cold after that. Its pretty bulky and heavy too so since it doesn't perform as advertised I stopped using it.
