It reminds you to do it in proper form. However, about over reaching, I have used it when pruning overhead, reaching overhead and carrying boxes. It stretches so you can do the job, however, you need to listen to your body. I would not do more than you can do without the brace. Use a ladder, etc. I like using it when I am on the computer. When it gets uncomfortable, I get up and take a brief walk, move around, get a drink of water. When I remove the brace, my posture is like I still have it on. I'm 5' 2'', medium shirt, 37" chest size. The medium brace is comfortable. **Q: Can we use this for deivers they drive like 12hours ??** A: Hello, The Posture Corrector would be fine to wear for that period of time however it would not be recommended to do so everyday. We'd recommend doing that for 1-2 days and then having a day off for example to give your body a chance to move without it.
