They cover a wide range of calligraphy and art. The black is a good shade of black, truly dark enough. However, like others said, they sometimes come dry. One of mine’s did. However, I purchased these because they said ‘refillable’ which they were. Use the cap to help take off the end of the pen body. There should be instructions that came with the pens. If you have ink on hand (which as a pen enthusiast I do) then it should not be a big bother to refill. Good value for the money pushes these pens from four stars to five, even though one was dry. Still good enough, since you don’t break the bank when buying these.It has been eight months and I think the nibs are still okay, but I also do not use them everyday. Maybe they would be worn down more with someone who is actually an artist or a calligrapher. I don’t know.
