The faster the bey spins the further out the wing clips move out of the center of the spin track. This in turn pushes the sharp tip out to perform. As the spin slows the clips retreat to the center of the spin track allowing the tip to move in and leave the rubber tip exposed causing the bey to move around the stadium more rapidly. However because the tip is larger and made out of a material that catches more friction the bey slows down much quicker but with final drive to attach the other top. If you want the sharp tip to stay out I use small rubber bands attached to the clip and the metal wings to keep the tip out. If you want the final drive tip exposed use rubber bands to hold the clips in around the spin track. This is a very cool beybade but I use it mostly for display and collection purposes. Hope this helps. **Q: how do you know its in final drive mode** A: It starts off calm, and it's not very aggressive.
