If you are talking about the channel it goes into it is pretty much standard size which is a groove you press the flange into. The only width/gap you need to make sure of is the door to the frame which is about 5/8. Close your door and measure the spacing. I used this to replace the original of 37 years old and it fit like a charm. Very satisfied, looks good and will stop any air leaks. Hope this helps. **Q: The groove you press the flange into should be installed first, because regular doors do not have it, right?** A: Actually our door had a groove and we just replaced the old stripping that the cats had shredded.
