Appear well built and I liked the luminous dial allowing use in the dark. Pointed to correct direction and I would order again if needed. Would make nice gifts. Not going to be as accurate as full sized base plate compass but awesome for back up or just general direction needs. Price and quality make this great value!

Simple yet effective. This little pin on compass is a companion on every hike. Its lightweight and thanks to the pin and size I can put it wherever it is convenient. Its dependable, and inexpensive.

This is a very convenient little compass that I keep pinned to my field jacket, tested and found to be accurate, good price. I would purchase again and would also recommend to others.

These work great pinned to the straps of a "go bag" or "get home bag". They are easy to read and fairly accurate in general. Much better than trying to read the moss growing on the north side of trees or making a makeshift sundial (totally misleading and inaccurate) and will work even when your cell phone is out of juice or fried. There are other options such as a proper lensatic compass that will be better for reading your bearing but none that I have seen that are so convenient and always available at a glance. Be advised that it takes a couple of seconds to stabilize the reading AND... they are VERY sensitive to proximity to any ferrous metals. Keep them at least a foot away from anything containing iron or magnets and they will read accurately. If you do not do this you will get an inaccurate reading and end up way off course. This can be very manageable with a little bit of preparation and testing before you actually need them. For the price and the convenience these are pretty great!

Great compass for attaching to backpack straps or jacket. I got some for deer hunting and tracking. I often zone out and get into looking at tracks and sign, easily turned around on cloudy days, and my phone app sometimes flips out in remote areas. This is a good cheap additional tool right there for quick glances and comfort. I got 2 to check their accuracy and they mtch my main Brunton compass, though they react to eachother and/or anything else with any sort of magnetics, to be expected. I plan to get more and give them to friends. Don't just trust your apps!

Accuracy has failed. I had to remove this compass from my go-bag. It's no longer accurate. Great quality though.

I have been using these for about 20 years now. Fisheye compasses are extremely handy for quick references. I keep one on my left shoulder strap of my hunting pack. I glance at it a few times an hour to verify I am not veering from my intended course. I have a great sense of direction but this is a piece of mind. Love the fact it is hands free and in a quick glance can see my heading. I still carry a handheld compass in my pack as well as a GPS in my pocket, but use this the most to ensure my heading in the dense woods of western WA during hunting season. I test mine every time I put it on to verify its accuracy and turn a slow circle and make sure it turns to stay true. Had a friend several years ago get lost and took me a few hours to find him via radio because he had a pen-style flashlight with a small magnet on the end of it in his breast pocket that affected the compass and really screwed up his heading. Make sure wherever you mount it that you do not have anything interfering with it and good to go.

I lost this little compass almost immediately, due to the fiddly pin that is supposed to hold it on!

Just what I was looking for. A small ball compass that pins on the flight deck as a backup to my phone. Works well and doesn't take up much room on my flight deck. Would buy again, Many thanks.

A good deal. A well-made item that was well-priced and arrived quickly. I got a cord and tied it to my car's rear-view mirror as a car compass. It works well, just make the cord short when you tie it so it doesn't bang against the windshield when you maneuver your car.
