Works well and a brilliant buy for the price
I am super happy with this light-weight stand. It exceeded my expectations for the low price. I'm using it with light-weight cameras (Brinno, Insta360) for panoramic and time-lapse photography. It's ideal for me as I don't have to worry about leaving an expensive tripod outside for long periods. Build quality and finish is good. The adjustment clamps are simple plastic. So care needs to be taken not to over-stress or over-tighten. My camera set-ups weights are up to 500g and the stand handles this well. I use a make-shift sandbag tie down if the stand is being used outside and fully extended. If you are looking for something that is low-cost and lightweight, I would highly recommend. If you have a more substantial camera or heavy lights etc, you probably need to look at a more robust stand. Carry case is a bonus. Well done Amazon for another Brilliant Basics

Very good value
These stands are very good value for the casual photographer/videographer. They are cheap and light weight and extend up to about 7 feet. I’ve had an 80cm sqr softbox on one of these without any issue. I would advise putting a weighted bag on the feet to ensure complete stability. They would not suit a professional or anybody intending to mount heavy lights of modifiers as they are much too thin to withstand such equipment. I can’t imagine them standing up to any rough treatment or usage outdoors if the wind is blowing. I give them 4 stars as they are cheap but still provide great functionality for the casual or careful user who doesn’t want or need expensive more heavily built stands.

Perfect for small speedlights
Obviously a light-weight and basic product, which is just what I wanted. I already carry too much heavy gear! These stands open up my ability to put speedlights where I need them. Being able to create my own light where I need it opens the door to many more photographic possibilities. Having recently worked with a professional photographer I now realise how useful it is to create the light I want where I want it. I use a Sony a9iii camera with global shutter which means I can use flash at any shutter speed therefore the flash guns don't need to be big and powerful and expensive - consequently the light stands don't need to be big, heavy and expensive either - easier to carry around therefore much more likely to be used more.

Expectations
I feel it’s important to manage expectations with this. If you’re buying a £14 light stand and expecting £200 light stand quality, you’re an idiot. That being said, for £14, it’s a great budget buy. It is lightweight, comes with a bag and does the job. Extended to its max with a Neewer led light on it, it seems like it wouldn’t take much of a bump to knock it over, but that’s at its maximum height. The play in the shafts and locking mechanisms are minimal, and although the base is a tad finicky to extend out.. for £14, I’ll take that any day. I won’t hesitate to buy another one as I expand my lighting.

Decent compact light stand set, suitable for flashguns + flashgun accessories.
If you need a couple of inexpensive light stands, these are compact and lightweight; ideal for a flashgun-only kit. They’re significantly thinner/smaller than my regular stands (but that also means that they’re not quite as sturdy), and will take a load off my shoulders for smaller assignments. I definitely wouldn’t use these with a monolight and a large octa and I’m pretty sure that I’ll only be using the stands in an indoor setting, like a studio space. The plastics isn't exactly A-grade: the knob and locking mechanisms feel like you’ll need to be careful with the stand over time. Even so, the rivets, screws and coupling mechanisms are all metal, so I don’t foresee a problem as such. Bottom line: they’ll get the job done for flashgun kits and as emergency stands, but not much else.

Move over other brands
I was so sceptical about moving away from my tried and tested brand of light stands but these surprised me. Very sturdy and smooth to operate. Does the build quality match that of my branded stands? Well, not exactly but they are a quarter of the price and are as stable; I just feel the turn bolts are a bit flimsy but nothing to worry about too much. They can easily handle my 800w heads with a 185cm softbox and I've even used them to hold up my backdrops as well, which aren't lightweight.

Probably the best indoor option I could have found
Needed a basic light stand with good height for an Aputure light at the rear of my office. There are so many to choose from but this was basic, inexpensive, relatively sturdy for indoor use, and it more than does the job
