Dried cross cut celery tastes great.
The cross cut celery pieces go great with pretzels! Excellent product for many uses. Pricing is ok with this large container.

Very handy to have around
I love this product because I don't really care much for celery, but miss it's flavoring in certain dishes. I can't just go buy one stalk at a time, so when I do, I have lots of rotting celery to feed down the garbage disposal. I'm also a bit of a lazy cook, I hate all the chopping and deveining, it's such a pain that I have just omitted the celery many a time. I'm also not about to dehydrate my own either. This product is awesome. I simply shake out a small handful (No matter how much the recipe calls for.) and it's perfect. I think you are supposed to rehydrate it with water first, I don't even do that. Just toss it in while you are cooking or making a cold salad. Just allow it time to plump up on it's own. (It doesn't take long in hot dishes, about an hour in the fridge for cold.) I read another review where someone had brown celery. I think I may have discovered the reason. It might have been exposed to light. Mine was nice and green, but I noticed one day that the leaves were turning brown. There is a slat missing on the pantry door and it was directly hitting the jar. I hid it in the very back and that seems to have fixed the problem. As for the price, it seems expensive, but it's very shelf stable and should last a long time. (Just keep it dark, dry, and cool.) 11/13/2016: I still have the same bottle and it's still edible (flavorful). However; I've started grinding what I need to flavor my dishes. I like doing it this way much better. Seriously just a little pinch or maybe two if you really love celery will do.

Big Time/Money Saver for Certain Dishes
I eat a ton of bean/lentil stews and always throw in a bunch of mirepoix (carrots, celery, onions) so I find myself dicing a lot of those vegetables. This container will save a lot of time and probably money if you use celery a lot. They're a little chewy if you only cook them for a short while, but if you do a lot of crock pot stews like me and leave them going for 8 hours or so, you won't notice much of a difference between this and fresh celery.

great for working pantry, or longer term storage. Super convenient
Very good. I keep an assortment of dehydrated or freeze dried foods on hand for use anytime, but also as part of emergency use. It is easy to forget about the small stuff such as spices and other flavorings. If ya got to eat beans and rice, you will want to have many ways to spice it up. But for day to day use it is super convenient. I dont run out to the store all the time. I try to keep the basics on hand, but sometimes some foods just arent available, are way too pricy, or what is there looks super sad. I need my "mire poix"!! (celery, onion, carrot). Sooooo I have an assortment of the dried versions in my working pantry. I like the cut of this, and how it rehydrates. Works really well in my soups and other applications that benefit from a little added celery. I may buy some more soon just to have extra on hand.

Great for soup, not for sandwiches
While the parasitic contamination is/was going on, I hesitated to buy fresh celery so in looking for a substitute, I thought I'd try this product. Reviews were great, but I wanted to use it for fresh tuna, chicken or egg salad. I only gave it 3 stars because I thought the taste was too strong and the dehydrated pieces never really softened enough for the salad. I recommend it only be used for soups or stews.

No More Wasted Celery!
I needed a solution to throwing celery away. I like to have celery in several things, but I was throwing away too much. This works great so far however I have used it. I find there is no need to chop big pieces at all. I donโt soak it to reconstitute at all, yet.Glad I found this.
