I bought this for my Husband who makes a pitcher of Iced Tea daily. Normally I would purchase the standard style Iced tea maker with pitcher but after having to throw them out because they kept breaking I went looking for a different solution. I didn’t know if this would work- neither did he as he didn’t want to try it lol. He did try it and it makes great Tea! It is faster than the old way and the Tea is stronger. He puts the family size Tea bags in the Cylinder, adds Filtered water from the Fridge and in Minutes he has a pot of fresh brewed Tea! He adds sweetener and pours it over a glass of ice. I purchased this a a while ago and it has already outlasted all the other Ice Tea Makers I have purchased. I also purchased the smaller 1.2l size that I use to brew Hot tea with flavored tea leaves. I am so happy I found this product and gave it a try! Works every time and cleanup is easy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a Hot Tea or an Iced Tea Maker!!

i cannot say enough positive things about this water tea boiler. It just works wonderfully and the perfect size. We are a family who loves to brew oolong and thai tea from leaves, and this has definitely made our life a lot easier. if we just need hot water, this heats fast it to the set temperature. But where is shines for us is brewing tea, the mesh container in the center, we fill with tea leaves, hook onto the cover, fill with water, and place the tea infuser cover on. Power on and set the temperature you want, and it does its thing. After 10 minutes with steep time, we have perfect tea, that is not bitter and ready to serve or cool to mix with some boba. The opening is big enough for your hand to clean the interior, made of glass to view the water or tea brewing. Excellent item and our second chefman product this has been quality made.

I bought this teapot to replace my previous Chefman electric kettle that had lasted 3 plus years (it still worked but the hard water buildup was getting to difficult to remove).This one is even better than the last. The LED lights change color based on what temperature you are bringing the water to. The operation of the teapot is simple. It boils water fast and holds enough for multiple cups of tea. It lets you know with a gentle beep when the water is ready.Unlike my last pot, this one is very easy to clean. I can see this teapot lasting a long long time.

This is a great kettle. Easy to clean and easy to use. The water heats up quickly. I like the various temperature controls so you can get the perfect cup of tea depending on what type you're making. It's also perfect for heating up water for things like instant oatmeal or mashed potatoes.

Very easy to use. This is my first electric kettle, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. But I love the fact that it heats very quickly, that it has four different heat options, that I can steep my tea leaves using the removable insert, that it tells me when the water is ready, and that it turns itself off. And I like that it has a separate base that the electric cord is attached to, giving flexibility with the actual kettle.I purchased the larger size, but I probably could have gone with a smaller unit. But it doesn’t really matter. The measurement markings on the sides are very convenient when filling the kettle, and I like that the markings are on both sides so that it doesn’t matter which way you’re holding the kettle and filling.

Love this upgraded version. We had one that got broke. But I like the fact that this one has a temperature selection. Heats up super fast. And I love the fact that it turns off on its own.

I had the previous version of the Chefman Kettle that only boiled water, with one on/off switch and a flip-up top.This current version should have been designed better with it's extra capability, and maybe could have been a great unit at an additional $10-15, but like everything else these days, it was decided to make it cheap and market it as something it isn't. The plastic top and the removable aluminum (?) tea infuser are about as cheap as could be for function. The boil speed is lagging the aforementioned model significantly. The water capacity is the same, although the boil speed is no longer impressive! The "kettle hot" warning is no longer as obvious on the glass, a safety detriment. There is an on/off switch, whereby "on" defaults to boiling (212 degF), with the second switch cycling through 175, 185, and 195 for different types of tea, and 200F for coffee, displaying a different color to signify each temperature. Since I only use the coffee setting to make pour-overs, I have to press the second switch four times every time I heat water for coffee. It is important to read the booklet to understand what this kettle will or will not do quickly. The reheat function is invoked by holding in the on/off switch for a couple seconds, but will only hold the water just below boiling for up to 2 hours. To shut it off sooner, just remove the kettle from the base. Still not the most convenient or flexible. The unit is only guaranteed to work when the water level is between 0.5 and 1.8 Liters. Sorry, but this product could have been more thoughtfully designed. I couldn't even begin to tell you what tea makers/drinkers would think of it. It serves my purpose, but my old one was more convenient. They tried to simplify this one by cheapening it to the point where it is actually inconvenient for a significant number of users. Also, again ignoring safety, they left out a part that would secure the 120 VAC power cord within the base of the unit. Losing a safety star, and a convenience star. Not losing a star for cheapness, because the cost is low. Hence 3 out of 5 stars. Too bad the previous, simpler model wasn't still available for those that don't need the extra functionality. This one misses the mark it's trying to achieve.
