Trader Joes Creamy Salted Cashew Butter

Headline says it all. Much as I like the taste, you can just pour out the soupy nut butter. Fine print on the label says to refrigerate after opening. That may help, but I don't want cold nut butter on my hot toast.I have another brand that is ground a bit more course and the texture much thicker. Maybe I should mix the two together. I won't be buying this one again.

I can only imagine that all of the people complaining about the consistency are not very familiar with organic nut butters without any additives beside the nuts and oil and also can't bear working a few minutes for anything that takes a little effort. I'm a senior and have been buying them all my life, from Trader Joe's and several other natural foods makers. The natural/organic ones always separate from the oil and take 5 minutes or so of work to mix. I have arthritic hands and I can mix them using a long fork, pressing it down the side of the jar to move the thicker mass of pureed nuts to the center so they can be stirred in. Once mixed, just turn the jar upside down and put it in the fridge. It will stay mixed and the consistency of most nut butters. I expect the "premium" price is due to the fact that you can't get Trader Joe's Cashew Butter from any other source other than Trader Joe's EXCEPT THIS ONE. I no longer have a Trader Joe's near me since moving to another locale so this is my source. It's the law of supply and demand. Can't really blame them if they're the only merchant with some kind of deal with Trader Joe's to sell one of their most popular products.

It didn’t have as much flavor as I hoped! The value was good and the thickness was great! The flavor not so much!

This product is pricey however, I can not find cashew butter in my area. I like that I can find it on Amazon. The cashew butter is delicious.

As someone who is allergic to peanut butter and not a fan of almond taste, this is a great alternative! It takes some getting used to if you’re transitioning from peanut butter, but it’s great quality and definitely works as an alternative.

The taste of this is okay-if you could ever get it blended. I have workd for three days using a knife a fork and a spoon to try to get it worked together so that it would spread...forget it. I turned the jar upside down, thinking that might work but instead when I opened the jar the oil ran everywhere. I poured off the part that was a ittle blendd but still runny and am eating at the rest. What a mess I will never reorder and I normally love Trader Joes

Received a fresh jar well in-date. If you like cashews, you'll have a hard time putting the jar away. So good...!

I pour out the top oil, mix it the butter, and add a it more oil if I want. I refrigerate mine.
