Seems to work quite well.
The ratings ask about flavor? Seriously?Anyway, this should be combined with some copper mesh because a rodent that has been coming in through a hole will dig out soft foam to re-open the hole. If it hits sharp copper mesh that is stuck in place, that should stop the rodent. For rodents new to the neighborhood, foam that expands to stop air flow and the aroma of food from coming out the hole should keep them from being attracted.I poked copper mesh in to the center of the wall, then sprayed foam in from both sides. This stuff continues to expand for about 10 minutes after application. It is easier to trim back flush with the wall while it is still soft, but that is a bit of a gooey mess. Bring paper towels.Be ready to do all your holes in one session because the nozzle will plug up when it dries.

Works nicely once you figure out how much to (not) spray
Spray foam is tricky if you have never used it. I got it all over the place, didn't get enough some places, and got too much other places. But this product was consistent, curing into solid and tight material. I used it with light copper mesh. I was able to spray through the mesh and then spray over the mesh. Take that, Roof Rats!By the way, I used the one can in three separate sessions by immediately cleaning the straw with about 1/4 cup of acetone (from the hardware store) in a gallon plastic bag (seal the bag tightly.) You also need to pour a teaspoon or so into the top of the can after removing the straw.

Dealing with rodents
Definitely easier to use than steel wool or copper mesh for blocking small (less than 1 inch) mouse holes. That being said, DO NOT ASSUME blocking the holes will resolve an infestation, or you'll be reporting what a lot of people here are -- determined mice ate through it in no time. Here's what you do to put an end to the problem once and for all;(1) Don't clean up mouse droppings. These are "hotspots" and the mice will return to them if they're left untouched.(2) Get some poison blocks (I like "Havoc XT") and three inch wood screws (you might need some washers).(3) Put three Havoc XT cubes on a woodscrew and secure it in to the floor/wall (whatever) where the dropping are.(4) Replace the cubes once a week until the mice stop feeding; it may take up to a month. In bad spots, you might need to put 2x or 3x poison.(5) Search the area around your hotspots for entry points... plumbing pipes/drains are a major culprit, but I've seen bad/amateur electrical work on exterior walls that punched right in to the vent space.(6) Fill holes/gaps *generously* (push the applicator straw in to the hole, spray for 2-3s, then continue spraying while slowly withdrawing. The can is single use, so go ahead and use it all. You'll want to wear gloves and safety glasses. as the stuff is impossible to get off your skin.If the mice never stop feeding, you're likely killing the neighbor(s)' mice as well, and you'll have to look at more drastic barrier methods (rodent control wire mesh). If the "hotspots" are on an interior wall (usually the wet wall where the drain stack is) the mice are coming up from the basement (or other apartments). If the hotspots are along the exterior walls, you're more likely to have mice coming in from outside.

It seems to be true that rats don't like chewing this stuff.
Works freat. Really sticky. If you get this stuff on something, it ain't coming off without a fight. Supposedly, it has a bitter taste rodents don't like. I have never tasted it. I'll take their word for it. All I know is, I installed it 2 months ago, and none of it has been chewed. The only downside is, once you install the spray tube, and start using the foam, you have to use up the whole can. If you let it sit over night, you will not get any more out in the morning.

Works to fill gaps, but one use only
Good for filling gaps. Do a small area to get the feel of how it flows and expands first. However the big downside of this product is that it is basically one time use then toss. There is a straw that needs to be attached to the spout on the top of the can and pushed down to have the foam come out. The problem is that the foam will dry inside the straw and make it unusable, so make sure you get what you need to get done the first time around. It doesn't dry instantly inside the straw, but within 24 hours mine did. When using it make sure you're checking that the straw is fully screwed on, since if it loosens foam will spurt out onto your hand (make sure to wear gloves). Still, it worked for what I needed, just would have been nice to been able to keep the remainder in the can around for another day.Not sure how well the foam deters pests, but this was very close to the price of the basic version so I figured hey why not. Also to amazon... why are you asking me to rate the flavor of this foam? At no time should anyone ever even consider putting this stuff in their mouths.

Good Foam
The foam is great - but it's unfortunate that you need to be prepared to use EVERYTHING in the can in one session. Otherwise - the nozzle is all gummed up. But the foam works great when it's applied!

Keeps out rodents/pests!
We had a few places between where our foundation and siding met that unwelcome visitors would find their way into our home as the colder months approached. After finding the gaps, we sealed the off with a mix of this product and some steel mesh wire. Did the trick! Rodents were unhappy and we were happy.:)

Great at filling cracks
This stuff works great, and I plugged many holes in my rental property. I have no idea why Amazon asks for the flavor in the reviews, no one should ever taste this. One thing everyone needs to know about great stuff, is that it gets on everything, so always use gloves with this. Also I always use a full can at once cuz I've never been fully successful at using it later, it always seems to harden at the can.
