Silver Razor a5 Air, trusty personal transport.
Spent DAYS researching scooters, carefully weighing up everything - handbrake? suspension? height of footplate? type/size of wheels? folding mechanism? etc. etc. So many options. So many YouTube. In the end it boiled down to how bad our pavements are, and pneumatic tyres won, at the expense of everything else I fancied having on a scooter. So, it's quiet, smooth on rough pavements, the right size, classy, robust, super really. Footplate the right height - I don't find it bottoms out as readily as some people say. Pneumatic tyres are not as fast as the "normal" wheels - but easier to control, and much safer on wet leaves and hazardous surface. I do get off and push on uphills maybe a little more than I would on normal wheels, and sometimes get quite out of breath. (I'm not young). I use a pump extender thingy to make pumping the tyres easier using son's stand-up type bike pump with gauge. (No tyre problems so far, need pumping up before first use). I find it very handy for all the shortish errands I have to run. I've got a little mesh basket for it, very useful. I'm sure I made the right choice for my needs, out of all the options, and I'm very glad of it.

Great little scooter!
So when buying a scooter, I decided to read the reviews, I shouldn’t have. I should’ve just trusted my gut and gone with this unit instead of second guessing myself constantly. 1.) The tires are fine and fast enough for any normal person. Pretty sure the bigger harder tires are faster but then you compromise comfort and the ability to ride on dirt. You need to decide what’s better for you but ultimately I didn’t find this scooter to be slow at all. 2.) People complaining about the tires going flat and struggling to pump them up. Get an electric air pump for the car, they are cheap (£16) and they make this all way easier. The tires need to be pumped hard (60-80psi) so to me this was a no brainer. Just buy and electric pump with it. 3.) This scooter is light and handles great. Seriously, it’s a lovely ride. 4.) It rides low. Loads of people on here complaining about it hanging up. Just look where you are going and you should be fine but I’ve only had it happened once or twice. I have a second talker scooter and I prefer this one hands down. 5.) I weigh 90kgs and I’m 5’11 and I found it fine. Overall, it’s a good buy IMO. Don’t allow peoples negative reviews of this product sway you.

Awesome little machine
This compact scooter from Razor is superb! Fantastic fun gliding along the coast in the sun next to the kids on their own rides, wind in our faces and smiles as wide as you like. Well designed and a solid build, couldn't be simpler to click together out of the box. One star off full marks as the headset wasn't completely tight which has lead to the purchase of spanners (around £12 all up). The tyres will need air (60psi) to get you rolling so you'll need a way to inflate them. Smooth bearings, no rattles; almost silent in use with the pneumatic tyres. Easy to kick along, plenty of glide per push on reasonably smooth ground. Nice low deck reduces leg strain a bit which is great if you're out on a longer ride. Other reviews lament the low clearance; I haven't grounded it yet and I'm over 6ft and quite hefty. Awesome purchase, bought to have fun and good times with the family and to feel like a big kid again.

Not for rough terrain
Not suitable for my use - too low level of the foot platform. This is absolutely definitely not for rough terrain.

Quiet and smooth ride
It's a great recreational kick scooter. The pneumatic tyres keep the ride smooth and quiet.

Very good robust scooter
We live in the country and the lanes are very uneven. My 8 yr old granddaughter is able to glide along without any difficulty also is suitable for adults as my son has had several goes.

Good but would be better with a higher deck
Purchased the A5 air scooter for exercise. I have an A6 scooter with solid tyres which is great on smooth paths but vibrates a lot on rougher paths. The inflatable tyres on the A5 do give a much smoother and more stable ride but more effort is required. Some people find it difficult to pump the tyres up but I did not find it to be a problem. The deck should be higher as it does ground quite easily which could be a bit dangerous. The inflatable tyres provide more grip than the solid tyres on the A6 and braking is better. Would get four stars if the deck was higher.

Would not recommend that for every day commuting !
I got super excited when I got this, even though it came in silver and I bought the black one, it looked absolutely beautiful, strong, smooth, completely silent. But, I got extremely disappointed after my first commute to work, it was so slow that took me 10 more minutes than my usual commute and I had to push every step of the way (even on downhill) that cause tiredness so fast that after 5-10 minutes I was already sweating. I got to work late and sweaty, not fun at all. Furthermore, the board is so low that I was hitting every single road ramp I was trying climb. I see no other option but to return it. I would only recommend this for a play at the park really.

Razor A5 Air Kick Scooter - absolute Kaufempfehlung
Was einer abrupten Bremsung gleich kam.
