Best small flashlight that I have tried.
This flashlight is tiny! The dimensions are given, but still, when it arrived, I was gobsmacked! My requirements were to be: small enough for a keychain yet bright-ish, unlikely to turn on in my pocket, does not use a rechargeable battery, and has some kind of lens instead of a reflector. I hate reflectors; they produce an evil beam that does not have the same brightness across the field (so your criteria may differ.) This light has all of these features, and is actually smaller and lighter than an i3T-EOS, which I also have. The front twist switch has done a great job of keeping it turned off in my pocket. As a bonus, the finish is surprisingly durable; I have carried this thing for over a month, attached to my loaded keychain which churns around at the bottom of my pocket every single day. The finish is showing very light wear around the front and rear rims, with the rest of it looking great until I dropped it onto concrete yesterday, which ejected a small fleck off of it. I use it predominantly for walking around inside buildings at night. I like that the 1st twist comes on at full power, while a 2nd twist gives you low power; this is because low power is pretty dim for my usage. I do not know if the front is a true TIR lens, or is simply stippled; this is because the beam does not have as perfect a circle as I have seen on others, but it is still good enough for me. I have moved away from a competing light that is rated at 380 lumens, and has 2 buttons, one of which has a 2 second delay to avoid accidental activation in the pocket. Unfortunately, this countermeasure still allows it to turn on in my pocket frequently. However, THIS little flashlight has never (so far) turned on by itself, and the 120 lumens turns out to satisfy my actual needs. I am completely happy with this item, which is a thing that I rarely say.

Just what I wanted
I was looking for a small fairly bright light to slip into the elastic band on the side of my Leatherman tool sheath, for carry on my belt. I had been using the larger Lumintop AAA light, but with the light end of it being larger, it would snag pulling out of the elastic, and was fussy getting it back in. This little light is perfect. It slides in and out easily, but stays in place. The twist switch works well. It's not as bright as the larger version, but that's OK. It puts out enough light for troubleshooting in dimly lit or even dark spaces. If I will be doing more extensive work in an area, I would bring in a larger light in any event. It's really just what I wanted, and at < $10, if I lose or break it, it's not that big of a deal. I probably won't use the diffuser, but it's nice to have. May end up getting another one for the other multitool sheath...

Great flashlight, but the glow-in-the-dark cap gets lost
It's the perfect keychain light! The lowest setting is great for early mornings when you need to see but not be blinded. Mid-range covers a good area, and high will straight up blind you. Only one point off for a great idea, but weak execution. It comes with a glow-in-the-dark silicone cap for the light. A few seconds on high and it's charged and very easy to find in a completely darkened room. I loved it because it was a battery-free way to find my keys and even navigate the room. But the cap immediately disappeared on the first day! It's a friction fit to the flashlight and will immediately disappear the moment it's moved or put into a pocket. If there were a way to attach it to the body so it won't disappear, this would be five stars all the way.

Perfect light for any size pocket
I've been using a very similar light for many years (Sofirn C01S .. now discontinued) that has been with me everyday and around the world. This Lumintop EDC01 is a perfect replacement. The older Sofirn had 2 intensity levels and the EDC01 has 3 levels. As I did with my older light I run the light at a higher voltage for double the light output. Most people would be happy with the current light output but most people carrying just about any light would agree that more is always better. Using a rechargeable Lithium 10440 3.7v battery makes this light really shine. The reflector/lens on this light is designed for a dispersed flood output and not a distance reaching throw beam but increasing the output will help at all distances.

Small but mighty
This is an absolutely fantastic keychain flashlight. I used to have one of those little cheapie ones that you would have to squeeze the button down and hold it, which was fine if you needed to see something that was right in front of your face. I wanted something with a little more Power, but wasn’t huge or overly heavy. This fits the bill perfectly. It is a no frills, lightweight yet very durable twist style keychain light. I find that it has a decent throw of several feet and is quite bright and will easily illuminate small areas. I primarily use this at night time when going to my car after work as apparently our job does not believe in replacing the lightbulbs in the lights in the parking lot. This is also come in handy for just every day jobs such as trying to locate items in my vehicle that inevitably become stuck between the seat in the center console. It takes a single AAA battery, which for me is fine as this is not one that I use for extended periods of time. I have several other flashlights that I use for those tasks where I need more light or need one that’s gonna last longer and in those cases, I use a rechargeable unit. I actually have two other flashlights from this brand in larger sizes that are also wonderful. if you just need a small pocket, friendly or keychain, friendly flashlight you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s lightweight, and throws a decent amount of light won’t break the bank. The interface is very simple as it’s just a simple twist.

Amazing little light... a personal 'always carry' must have
This flashlight is but mind blowing awesome... Everything is to like about this flashlight..... hang it from a belt loop .......and with the twist of a thumb and index finger you have light shinning on the ground before your feet at the intensity level you last used... ------ 3 intensities of light available..... just perfect..... ---- a very sure connection when twisted on... ( vs ...finicky threaded head / tail cap switch electrical connection others use ).... you get no light flickering whatsoever.. ..if you look into the head of the light you will see a gold connecting ring completely insulated from the head that mates to the polished surface on the barrel of the flashlight....this provides the ( - ) negative polarity to the head --- It won't draw power when off.. because .... when you twist the head to power off...you get a complete mechanical breaking of the circuit by the physical separation of these two surfaces.....you are in fact completely disconnecting the battery from the head which contains all the voltage regulating and memory circuitry ---- the last setting of the light will still be stored in memory when you turn off / replace battery ...etc .. because the memory used is non volatile ram / meaning.......doesn't require power to maintain settings #######....Following applies to earlier version only.... the newer have addressed the problem / solved it ....by a copper like plating / different type metal on the spring...####### ******* For anyone who may encounter a problem with the light no longer working... as some have remarked... I tracked the problem down with a volt meter... because after 6 months use.. it also happened to me... light is not busted... just needs cleaning pull out the spring with long tweezers or bent wire hook... get a piece of cloth ( wet with rubbing alcohol ) ..sized so you can twist and turn it down into the very bottom of the flashlight body to clean it... clean the spring also... then wipe the threaded part of the bodies shinny ring... that shinny ring contacts the gold contact ring in the head of the flashlight... twist and turn the cloth also into the head of the flashlight to clean the contact surfaces... after cleaning with alcohol... lightly coat all cleaned surfaces ... spring etc....with WD40 oil... ( keep clear of lens ) ... push spring back ...so tip points up...back into flashlight body... reassemble etc... the flashlight will now work and not require cleaning again.... the problem is caused by oxidation of the aluminum which forms a non conducting coating .... this flashlight has a voltage regulating circuit... and the coating causes low or no voltage....so it reacts by not shutting on to prevent damage / full discharge to rechargeable batteries... a regular flashlight would flicker... turn on intermittently ....if smacked against ones palm etc... I am going to try this... remove a thin strand of copper wire / or silver... from some multi strand wire.... wrap some turns about the bottom coil of the spring where when reinserted it should make a secure electrical connection to the barrel of the flashlight ... then run the rest of the wire up through the middle of the spring... and wrap some turns about the topmost spring coil where the battery will make contact with it... this way the wire will carry the current directly from the negative base of the battery to the barrel of the flashlight body ... should work.... / last solution... worked... pulled out the spring and put a slight bend outward at the end of the coil so that it digs securely into the barrel for a sound connection and at the same time increases the force of the rest of the coil against the barrel ... months now all good... I believe it's a permanent fix

GREAT customer service!!! Flashlight is pretty good...
I was in the market for a good keychain flashlight to use in the dark so I don't fumble through my keys. Up until now I had been using an Energizer branded light that worked ok but didn't like how I couldn't replace the battery easily. My first light lasted about a month but stopped working. Peter from customer service was really good and the company sent a replacement. I like the light overall. The twist to operate is good to ensure no accidental activation of the light while in your pocket. It's probably the smallest and thinnest light to fit on a key chain and not be too big. I like the knurling on the sides for grip. It's got a clever repeated twist operation to activate the next brightness setting. I like how you have three brightness settings. On the highest setting, it's very bright more than enough (almost too bright) for getting some simple light for your keys and door. And I think it remembers the last setting you used so you don't have to cycle through the brightness settings everytime you use it which is a nice convenience. It uses one AAA battery which is what I was looking for. I'm using a rechargeable battery with this. The body is a nice aluminum, not plastic. The black paint will start showing scratches immediately. So it's not anodize or anything like that. The package comes with some nice extras. There's a glow in the dark diffuser, extra O-rings, and a clip. I also noticed around the lens itself there is a glow in the dark ring which is cool but not sure how useful it is or what purpose does it serve. I don't know how waterproof it is and the question is really going to be about durability. The price is good. I think it was cheaper than the Energizer light I had before. Overall, great for what I need it for.

Not the best on the market IMO
I was looking for an alternative flashlight to the Olight 3E EOS and was really hoping the Lumintop EDC01 was the one. Pros: - it has three level of intensity (olight has only one) - When switched off for more than a second, it remembers the last mode you used (low, medium or high) - the output is wider than the Olight - I like that it comes with a small keychain carabiner - very easy and intuitive to switch between modes Cons: - it’s bigger than the Olight - it’s less bright then the Olight - The diffuser seemed like a good idea before I bought the flashlight, but when I tested it, I realized it is - at best - unnecessary. It has no everyday use and no emergency use that I could think of. It doesn’t provide more light when it’s held pointing down (compared to the light without the diffuser on). If you use it as candle and put in on a flat surface, you can only use the lowest mode, otherwise it’s really blinding. When the diffuser is attached to the flashlight while the lowest mode is on, and the flashlight is standing upright as a candle, you can barely read a book. If you switch to medium or high mode, then you can’t read your book or do anything in proximity to the light, because the light is blinding your eyes, as I was saying. So really, this diffuser is mostly a gadget, in my opinion. You can do without it, and therefore it doesn’t add value compared to a flashlight sold without a diffuser. Overall, in my opinion, this flashlight is not bad, but not good enough compared to the Olight. I decided to return it.

Works great. Glow-in-dark diffuser is a must have. Replaceable battery.
I love this flashlight. I also have the larger AA cell version. I like the small size and light weight. The diffuser is what I like most. It makes it more of a lamp for general lighting. I most often use this to rustle through a bag or backpack or inside a cabinet in a poorly lit spot so having a diffused light source is great because I don't have to aim it. I could sit the light in the bag or rest it somewhere and the diffuser takes away the need for aiming. The glow-in-dark diffuser is a nice feature because I can usually find the flashlight in the dark. The diffuser can fall off if you are not careful. I wish it came with 2 or they sold spares. I clipped it to a bag when visiting a friend and only had to carry the bag from trunk to front door but when leaving the diffuser must have fallen off. It was found outside days later so I still have it knock wood. But I realized I valued that diffuser so much I was thinking of buying a replacement just because I lost the diffuser. Initially I wanted a pushbutton like the larger AA version but over time the twist top has grown on me. I love that the use AAA so if it dies during a power outage I can pop another battery in.

Strong Beam and made of metal.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this torch. No cheap plastic, the body is made of ribbed aluminium, and the beam is strong for such a small torch. I like it better than similar items with non replaceable rechargeable batteries, which eventually die so you bin the remains.
