A few years ago, I was shopping at a local grocery store looking for a good probiotic, and one of the employees recommended Dr. Ohhira's as the best probiotic they carried. After trying it, I understood why they recommended it. The only problem was, in-store the prices were way to high and unaffordable. That was until I found this deal on Amazon. Since then, it's become my go to probiotic! It consistently helps get everything back to normal and keeps my bowel movements regular without being harsh. I've never experienced any unpleasant side effects, stomach cramps, or bloating while taking it, which has been a huge plus. The pill size is small enough and easy to swallow. Along with gut regulation I have also noticed clearer skin and normalized energy levels. Lastly, and I don't think a lot of people realize this...but it's a three in one Pre/Pro/Postbiotic! It's like three products in one. I've haven't tried any other probiotics, but considering this one does exactly what i'm looking for in a probiotic....I see no reason to test others. If you're looking for a highly effective probiotic that's gentle and effective, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Update after 5 years: This product recently stopped working for me. Before, I was only taking two a day. Now, I need 5-6 a day. No way. Let’s see what other brands are available at 1/2 the price of these. I’ll still give it 4 stars because this probiotic really helped. Update to my 5 year update: There are other brands that are half the price of these that work even better. First impression: Some probiotics on Amazon are on the more expensive end of the list, and this one definitely is one of them. It does exactly what it claims to do. Before I found this product, I couldn't even digest any probiotic, not even yogurt. Dairy milk was even worst. If you suffer from allergies to soy, milk, and other allergens, this probiotic is amazing. I’ve been taking two a day for about 5 years now. I would highly recommend them.

Before trying Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics I'd tried many different probiotic products. My D.O. recommended that I rotate several different probiotics from a list that she gave me. I did this faithfully, but still seemed to always have IBS. I've never been formally diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but it seems I had all the symptoms. Every single time I'd eat, I'd have to run to the bathroom. I had way too many close calls. Sometimes the symptoms would last for hours after I ate. I was taking sometimes up to 10 or 20 anti-diarrheal pills a day. Within just a few days of trying Dr. Ohhira's probiotic, everything changed. I rarely write reviews for any products I buy on Amazon, except for books. I purposefully came here to review this product and say "Thank you." This product has literally changed my life. My bowels seem normal now. I'm no longer looking for a restroom as soon as I walk into a business now. I can eat dairy again. I feel like a normal human being again. I'm so so grateful for this product. Please don't ever stop making it.

Not worth the price . I followed the exact instructions but didnt feel any difference. Better to use fermented cabbage to get your probiotics
