Mace Blades, (25g)

Product came really promptly but best before date is end of this year so just a few months.. It will be fine for a few months after but had hoped for longer

Been waiting ages to get this and try it in a dry ground masala mix, recommended by a recipe book bought elsewhere on this site. It's surprising how one single ingredient make a difference and these Mace 'blades', as opposed to generic pre-bottled ground mixes, give a deep, citrus style sweetness and also manages to be savoury all at once. The fact it's the skin of the nutmeg, removed and bagged so it truly is fresh, genuinely made a difference to the prepared masala mix, that powders just don't have, freshness, grinding and toasting imparting a slightly stronger, but tempered layer to the base mix. I'm just an ordinary curry loving chap, who enjoys cooking and after this suggested revelation, no more pre-bottled, stuff for me, plus compared to a supermarket offering, it will always be fresh in the form it comes in this way, once sealed after each use and the price is far better too in my opinion, so another box ticked in the 'how to make a proper curry' book as far as I'm concerned.
