Historically when applying things that require surgical dexterity, just the pressure of knowing that I am likely to make a pig's ear things is the guarantee of failure itself.So when a company takes this into account & offers you a replacement in the event of things going ostrich-shaped, all that pressure is gone.And you know what? With no anxiety concerning failure I easily applied the Spartan Cloak perfectly on the first attempt. The instructions are clear, simple & precise. And there's a link to an accompanying video which means that it is incredibly reassuring to be shown every step in real time & so, it's difficult to get it wrong.One thing I have always noticed with lesser products in the past is the presence of air bubbles, which over time either dissipate or leave an ugly pockmark forever under the material. No chance of that with the Spartan Cloak due to the supplied 'vanquisher' which unfortunately wasn't a 6ft spear but a sturdy piece of card which made quick work of escorting bubbles, much like some Persians, to the nearby edge.Effectiveness: I decided to do a minor test on a corner of the screen protector once it was on the phone. Taking the CPM 3V blade of one of the sharpest knives in the world, Bark River's Aurora I attempted to mimic a sharp scratch to the surface of the S8's screen. Nothing. Not one detectable mark. Even again with slightly more pressure. This is a machine steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of 59 & there's not much that is going to come in to contact with your screen in the real world as sharp as that. Because of this I have absolute confidence in the product. It works extremely well.Verdict: Hephaestus was the Greek God of Craftsmen & Blacksmiths. The reason that you get scratches on your phone is from the little bits of grit in your pockets and on tables etc. It's nothing to do with keys or knives as the all singing and dancing videos would have you believe.While a tempered glass protector is the best protection against this there has not and is not one on the market that works reliably coupled with a case, trust me I have tried over 10 since the S7 edge.Therefore a film is the only way forward.As films go this is the best I have found. Follow the video instructions but also use a torch as well so you can see and thus remove any tiny bits of dust before the application.I have put mine with a spigen case (Neo hybrid as it has the raised lip at the front so you can't accidently put your phone face down on a surface) who I believe make the best cases.Its a good fit, and is still just as sensitive though it still bubbles slightly in the bottom left corner and has to be pressed out every few days, but that's nothing major.Given that most films last about a year with real world wear and tear I would be happy to replace mine with another one of these.

Firstly the product. Very good, I went through a few protectors for my S8 before stumbling across this one. By far the best in terms of look, feel and durability. Secondly the service. Immense. Had trouble with the protector being compatible with my case so they sent through one of their own plus a new shield. After a year of use, the protector started to peel away, so another one was dispatched straight away. Not too many online sellers have nailed customer service, this lot have for sure!

If you watch the video before installing this you will have no problems. Easy to fit and have no air bubbles like have had on many other screen protectors in the past. This is a great cover for protecting your screen from scratches in bags or pockets, but will not protect if dropped. Edges do not lift when a slim fit case is fitted. Screen does feel different to direct onto the screen but have not had any problems with phone function due to it.

The product itself it good. Not amazing, but certainly not one of the cheap and nasty plastic ones. The packaging certainly makes you feel like you are getting a premium product and the end result is worth the money.To get the end result, they supply wipes for the phone and a method that means you can easily get the alignment right. With other (non-liquid) protectors, you end up applying and sometimes lifting off and reapplying, because it can "drift" by the time it gets to the far end.With the Spartan Cloak, they supply a video - watch it. Also they supply fastening tape so you can perform a dry run, before removing the backing on the protector. End result? No bubbles and a well aligned protector.If you put your phone in your pocket with keys etc, it will push the protector in (indents), as it cushions the impacts and prevents them from marking your phone screen. So look after your phone if you want the protector to stay crystal clear without blemish.Final note, they are super committed to making sure you are happy with your product, their customer service is second to non. This screen protector is almost exactly what it says it is.However, I have a wallet case on my phone and for some strange reason the left side of the screen protector is coming away from the screen constantly, and yes before you ask, I did affix the protector correctly.Other than this mild annoyance the protector is great. Easy to remove smudges, and finger prints. No scratches as yet either and was very easy to stick to phone, once I figured out how to remove the tabs
