Ray-Ban RX5226 Cat-Eye Prescription Eyeglass Frames, Black On Transparent/Demo Lens, 49 mm

I had seen one of my favorite fashion bloggers post a few pics of herself in these glasses, and I just had to have them! I ordered the black here on Amazon since they were the only ones available, but the black color ended up being too dark against my super-pale skin, so I sent them back and ordered them from somewhere else in the tortoise/violet color in my prescription.They have the retro-chic of Ray-Bans, with a feminine update. The lenses are large if you have a more petite face, but they are still flattering and I would imagine that they would suit a variety of face shapes.Overall, these are *such* fun glasses! When I first tried them on to show my husband, he said that they had a "sexy hipster-librarian" vibe to them. How much better does it get than that?!

I was hesitant about buying frames online again (ones I purchased from Warby Parker-- the hot new guys on the block, do not come in a range of sizes and the bridge on my pair is too wide). These Ray-Bans are sized perfectly for a woman's face. As someone else mentioned they have a fresh look without being too retro with unnecessary accents. The clean lines and curves on these frames are flattering and the quality is what we expect from Ray-Ban. They came securely with cleaning cloth in a nice case. Can't wait to get my lenses put in. A great pair of frames unlike the rectangular seen everywhere and in a size perfect for the smaller face and narrower nose-- a size rather difficult to find.

these are not authentic. they look nice, however inside of the frame it says made in china. real ray bans are made in italy.

Super cute design, but you need a very tiny little pixie face to wear these without looking like you're wearing a child's glasses.

I think you'd have to have a pretty tiny face for these frames to fit it well. I wouldn't say that I had a big face, but these frames still fit pretty small. It isn't the frame itself, but the cat eye. The eye started to go up right at the middle of my cheek which made my face look enormous. The inside of the lens is clear, which added to the hugeness. They're super pretty, but don't bother with any face shape but slender oval.

Good price considering I paid 170 for my others from Lens Crafters. Fortunately, they didn't sell these in store anymore.I have an almond face and they fit and look great. I'll say I had to let Lens Crafters adjust them after putting my prescription in. My experience was legit.

I have a sad story behind these glasses. I owned this exact pair for several years now and they have become a part of my face and personality. People remember me as the girl with the cat eye frames.About 3 months ago, I was 7 months pregnant wearing these glasses on the train when a passenger who was in a rush pushes me out of the way. I confronted her and all she did was threaten to punch me in the face. I dared her to do it being there were plenty of witnesses on the train platform, but instead she cowardly snatched my glasses off my face and shattered them into pieces. Now I was pregnant and blind. She got away and the police couldn't help me. I feel confident that karma will get her.That same night, I went on Amazon and looked for the exact pair and there it was. I was so happy, I ordered them the same day. I wear them everyday and was able to get lenses put in without a problem. I just want to say thank you for having them! These glasses are fierce!

i bought this from shop eyecare from amazon marketplace, so kudos to them.they're super cute and they're durable. at first i was a bit apprehensive about ordering a pair of glasses about half off of MSRP and the only thing I had to go by was other purchaser feedback and their own personal statement.At first I didn't think they complimented my face but my boyfriend said they looked good so i went ahead and put lenses in them. Now that i've been wearing them for a while, I really do like them. The style isn't gaudy like vintage cateyes so you don't look like you're roleplaying 24/7 yet they're unique and stylish. ive had these for about a month now and haven't found a flaw. They are more feminine than the pair I usually wear (thick rimmed rectangular glasses, aka emo glasses?) so there is a little outfit adjusting if you're tomboyish but not radically different.
