I have had it for 3-4 weeks now and have used it several times and it is all I expected and then some! I was looking for a old-style ghetto-blaster with USB when I came across this and I am so glad I ordered it instead! So far I have just used Bluetooth to stream radio from phone, and flash drive that I had filled with tunes from pc and it has worked perfectly. I tried the am/fm just to make sure it worked (it did) but have had no need to use it otherwise. I will use it soon to hook up to a video projector for sound for an outdoor movie, but really I bought it just to use as a portable music player and I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone who has seen and heard it has been wowed by the sound! Bass is definitely there and this thing will get LOUD. The remote is a little flimsy, but can be handy. Yesterday evening I was using speaker to provide tunes for a group I was working with in a gym and I carried the remote in my pocket and was able to adjust volume from 50-70 feet when needed. I may never fully utilize all the functions speaker can handle, but again, I bought it mainly for a portable jam box and would definitely recommend. Update 5/8/2018. Have had speaker almost three years now and continue to love it. Again, primarily use flash drive to listen to music, but have used it as karaoke with mic and PC, have hooked it to projector for sound to watch movies outdoors, and have streamed music and audio books with phone with no issues whatsoever. AM/FM function is not good and remote is useless, but I only comment on those because it comes with both; I wouldn't use either even if both worked great. Another testimony I can now give is to the speakers structural quality. My wife recently hooked it with an extension cord while blowing out the garage and yanked it off my bench onto the concrete floor 36" below. It cracked the housing where it hit the floor but everything still works!

I use two of these for getting a nice stereo sound from a keyboard with a Leslie cabinet emulator. BOTTOM LINE: Excellent value. PROS: In general, clean and good range. Lightweight. Nice features, though I only use it for direct line. CONS: Seems to distort when playing a organ with a very loud band at low frequencies. Also, annoying that it defaults to radio when turning on, but... TIP: Just need to remember to plug in the keyboard before turning on this powered speaker. Then it identifies the signal and all is fine.

Bluetooth did not work and I tried it from multiple devices. I returned it the following day, the replacement will be here tonight. I will alter this post depending on how the replacement one works. The new speaker has arrived and it did work. The sound quality if pretty good but it is not as loud as I thought it would be. I purchased a PA Tailgater last year and it is just as loud as this PA. Both speakers a pretty good, I just assumed based on what other wrote that it would be louder. It says the bluetooth range is about 100 feet, which is also much better than others that are 30 feet. I am using this speaker as a halloween scare so the bluetooth distance is important. I will test the bluetooth range over the weekend. I need something that is going to work at 60 feet, is not I will come back to a one star rating and return the product for false advertising.

Right of the box and it sounds pretty good. I am a musician who uses a Looper and a few instruments through one line and I sing via xlr. The inputs work well. Nice crisp sound. Can get pretty loud, which is nice when jamming with others. So far, pretty good.

Fantastic active PA speaker for my use. I bought two of these to use as lightweight (23 pounds) floor monitors for two vocalists in a Blues Music band. So, my needs were limited to the ability to run cabling from my mixer (TRS out) to a Monitor input and then parallel out to other monitors. The Line input on this monitor, the PPHP1038UB, is a FEMALE XLR only. So, I had to get a cord(s) that had a TRS on one end and a MALE XLR on the other, and now I could easily connect and daisy chain. Now for the sound; I placed the Line volume at 12 o'clock, and the master volume at 12 o'clock and then controlled the overall monitor volume at the mixer. The volume is loud (I use a Yamaha Stagepass 600 mixer). Plenty of volume and headroom for many medium to large rooms. These monitors easily keep up with my mains. They sound incredible good as monitors with a 2-band EQ of bass and treble to taste. Super value and met my needs and expectations very well.

As you can see from the pictures, what PYLE is advertising is completely different from what you receive. Don’t waste your time with Pyle customer service! After speaking with an intake rep., you will be sent to a “product specialist” of which you can only communicate via email. The rep. I dealt with was lazy and passive aggressive. Instead of doing the work herself and just looking up the model number to see the history of the product, she continued to ask me to send her picture of the speakers (6 total) and my receipt (2). Then after all that she just say.. “ Hi Charlie, Apologies for the inconvenience, Upon checking, there have been changes that have been made to the unit and you received the correct one. The picture was just not updated on our website yet. I will be escalating this for the listing to be corrected. We do apologize for the confusion.“ -First, my name isn’t “Charlie” and she also called me “Gill” even after correcting her many times. -I see that in a review below Pyle has already been informed of this issue over a month ago and they STILL haven’t fixed the product picture or item details. -She did nothing to make it right for the customer. If a company false advertises and sends the WRONG product, then the right thing to do is send them a speaker comparable even if it is a loss to the company. I am left with the hassle of the return and no speakers due to their negligence or worse intentionally selling a wrong product! -I was hoping by going with a USA company it might make a difference in quality and service but that certainly wasn’t my experience. Seems they’ve outsourced anyway. -Hope this review saves someone the aggravation. My son was certainly disappointed to get the WRONG speakers on Christmas morning! -I ended up buying speakers from a company called Sweetwater. Speakers are great. Customer service was awesome!

This was purchased for a friend as a gift... he has a home with a pool, but since he rents the home, he's not going install permanent speakers outdoors. This little (its really not *that* big...and the multiple handles make it super easy to move around) speaker fills the entire pool area and back yard with music easily. It provides more bass than any other bluetooth enabled speaker out there (except its larger siblings) and the sound was surprisingly good. We turned the bass and the volume all the way up and it did not distort at all. This one speaker is loud enough to upset your neighbors if you're into that. Unpacked, powered up, and connected to an ipad running pandora in less than 5 minutes total. I highly doubt that the many other readers (usb/sd/etc) will ever get used, but the girls were already asking about hooking up a microphone and doing karaoke with it (which you can do easily with an ipad app). The only drawback we could see thus far was the fact that you can't run it off batteries - but with the power and volume it produces, it'd probably take a car battery to do so. Highly recommend this but reliability is yet to be proven.

Pairing this with a Neewer Cardioid Dynamic Microphone, the sound is warm and loud. Several options for inputs allow you to tie a few components into the speaker for an overall experience. The MP3 player, plug in a digital card and use the remote to turn the music on & off. Its a serious system, at a beginner price.
