Mars Lumograph Artists Pencils - Pack of 6

As a student, I have used a lot of brands and found them pretty good, but I find this one superior in its aesthetics and overall results. As a teacher, I definitely recommend that you invest in the best materials you can afford. Talent and skill are key, but good materials go a long way in making the process easier and if you take care of your tools, they will take care of you and last a very long time. The images I have attached are quick sketches and I have not yet truly explored the values of this set. The image of the cow was done using only an old Staedtler Mars Lumograph 6B I had of this brand, the only one I could find before buying the complete set. Although the product code is the same, I do see a marked difference in the blackness of the new set; it is definitely more charcoal! With Staedtler, you cannot go wrong.

I really suggest you to read this,before my review will be surely an honest one and will be worth the read,,, First of all,these pencils are of artist quality..i am saying to beginners to not purchase it and go for the normal ones...beginners will struggle of course....ok,so these pencils are so neat and fresh looking and are packed in a supportive premium tin! Talking about their textures,,never think it is smooth,,its really rough,but if you are not a beginner,this will be not an issue at all...i suggest u to buy blue lumograph so that you'll be allowed to easily get smooth results! and u know it is made in Germany,the leads...well,i liked the texture personally,even they are not smooth,you'll get an awesome result with it! and this one is cheaper than the normal ones and these are brilliantly affordable.. and now comes the best part i want to mention,,,the best thing i liked about these pencils are about its break-resistancy! believe me,once sharpened,the lead will not break when we add a nice pressure and the point type is absolutely fine! TOTALLY THEY ARE MONSTEROUS BY THEIR PERFORMANCE! I just love them, so easy blend, it has waxy texture to it. These would do wonders for dark intense detailing in your artwork. Also I received this a day before the estimated delivery date.

Great pencils for dark shade sketching ... pricey but definitely worth it.... Perfect set of pencils included in the box....twos of 2B and 4B and one of 6B and 8B......I use 2B and 4B the most so it's good for me.... These pencils are not something that you're really going to need much, if you already own the Normal Staedtler Lumographs (100G6).... But they're an definite advantage if you're going for darker shade sketching......sketches look great with them....If you're a artist who applies strokes a lot in the sketches then this will be great for you..... Outlines are just not the thing at all for these pencils.... At the end they're just great!...soft and dark ....leads don't break .... providing a picture with shades on paper so you can see if you really need them.....

Pencil are dark and easy to blend.

It brings the artist out of you, if you know what I mean. The pencils give you a lot of confidence and cover a wide range of depth, making your drawing stand out. It's not that difficult to use and with a set of blender and kneaded eraser, it will be just the set of pencil you will love. The pencils are worth the money. Do go for it if you want to try pencil artwork

The pencils are extremely good. Especially the best part is, it wont glare as much as normal graphite pencils,. First I've bought the steadlar mars lumograph and then I went for steadlar mars lumograph black* and finally I realised that probably the Artline pencils are well enough for me! But this doesn't mean that steadlar is not good, rather it is probably the best** one ! Well, if you are a pro artist, then you must go for it, otherwise it's a bit expensive. Mars lumograph black is basically more carbon based, hence more darkar than usual and quite close to the charcoal, but till different...
