Field of view is the width of the viewing area thru the binoculars at a given distance.

Do these come with a strap or a case?

Hi. Yes. There is a basic strap included along with a soft carrying case. There are also lens caps for both ends of the lenses.

do you recommend this binoculars for horserace?

I gave these binoculars to someone as a gift for a trip to Alaska. they found them to be good. I would think they should be good for horse racing.

do these really zoom? autofocus?

Yes, these binoculars really zoom. There is a lever at the center that you can move with your finger to zoom in and out. As for autofocus, no, that is something you need to adjust manually. These binoculars are well crafted and with the nylon strap you easily hang around your neck.
