I purchased is not really expecting much but what ends up when you get it and physically look at it is there are two sides for currency and six slots in the center for change so you even have a place for half dollars and dollars or extra slots if you have to do change and you need to like extra slots for quarters because the you use a lot of those so that was nice. As far as the lot go I was fundamentally disappointed in the beginning because the lock was extremely hard to turn and I figured this is why they were selling it at such a cheap price but after I jostled the tray around the lock works great it seems extremely sturdy it’s not like somebody can either not walk away with this if you have it outside or break into it with a screwdriver but at least he’ll slow them down and force them to physically break into the unit. The other thing I like by having the currency on the other side if you have two people working out of the box they can share the change that’s not a big deal but you can keep track of how much cash they have by having them put whatever they collect on their own side of the box. It doesn’t mean that somebody can’t grab a part of the change from the other person side and throw it over but if it’s a friendly competition you can keep track of who’s selling the most of the flea market. Plus I like to have my small bills on one side and the bigger bills on the other side oh so you can lift up the tree and there’s plenty of room underneath or anything that’s 20 or bigger that you may wanna keep in the box I would recommend that you keep 20 or bigger‘s inside your pocket in case somehow the box disappeared but if you have real change you’re such it would be good. Also if you’re going to lock it by having two keys to people can have access so again to slow down anything that might happen if you’re working with somebody else or a third person who you may not trust to be taking or touching the money you know you can say I’m sorry we only have two keys. But overall I was quite surprised it was a lot more than I was expecting. If you are looking for a nice cash box to store your money and/or valuables, then the SentrySafe CB12 Medium Cash Box is a great option! The safe comes with the safe and the keys. The safe was bigger than I thought it was going to be, which was great as there was more room to store things. It has a plastic tray inside so that you can organize your money. PROS: -There is tons of room in this cash box to store all of your belongings that you want to keep safe! You don’t need to worry about running out of room with this safe as there is a ton of room for your cash and small belongings! If you are looking for a safe to store firearms, however, this is not the safe as this safe is not made to carry firearms. -The safe comes with 2 keys so you can have one key hidden just in case you lose the other one. -The safe is made out of very durable and hard metal. It defiantly feels like a solid construction and would probably take a lot to break into. CONS: -With the cash tray in place, which is how the safe comes in, the lock has trouble locking as it seems that the hole the locking mechanism needs to go through does not always fit through the hole. This is something that should be fixed, but it is not a deal breaker, but a slight annoyance. -It uses keys so if you are bad with keys and loose things often then you may want to look for a combination safe. Overall, if you are looking for a small cashbox to store cash and other small belongings, then I think this is a great cash box for the price, and would highly recommend buying it!

This is a great size security safe. Just what I need and seems very sturdy and secure. I like Sentry products the best. I highly recommend this product.

For all the whiners, it's a simple to use cash box, not Fort Knox. it's meant to hold cash in a convenient manner in a remote location while conducting business. For the price, it is decently made. I would have preferred three slots for bills and less coin slots. For that, I took a star off. The lid closes flush without the key but the latch does not engage unless you lock it. Therefore, when you are busy going in and out of the box, you don't necessarily want the latch to engage each time you open and close the lid. From that perspective, the usability is fine. I bought 2 of the same boxes but the keys are NOT interchangeable. They do have different codes; on mine, one set is labeled as TS2 and the other TS7. If they are interchangeable, then you just happen to get the two boxes with identical set of keys. If that is the case, I would return it for another box with different key code. If you want something slightly more secure or convenient, I recommend getting ones with a combo lock for little more money, especially if you are using multiple cash boxes at the same location with different group of employees. If you are going to use it on daily basis, I recommend spending more to get something bit more stout. For occasional or light use, it's fine and well priced.

For the price, you really can't beat this product. I looked around on Amazon for a lock box just for personal important documents, etc. It didn't have to be fancy or fireproof, but did need to lock and stay locked. This fits the bill-it's not really 'heavy' but certainly has some weight to it and it feels really well made and sturdy. The cash plastic insert can be easily removed, but when it is in and the box is locked, there is room underneath for a few papers (about an inch of space here). Note-you *Can fit a standard size piece of computer paper in this box without folding it!* I was able to fit a pretty good stack of paper and a large journal, although I did just take the plastic insert out to do all this. The lock mechanism works great, and two keys are provided (the keys could be a little more thick-slightly flimsy but they will do the job). My only complaint is that the box doesn't stay shut unless it's locked-no latch. Not a deal breaker for me, but you can't pick it up unless it's locked. For me, I don't really mind because it means I'm always naturally assured it's locked when I go to put it away. The handle is fine, nothing special and it folds down. Overall, a great buy and a sturdy lock box. I would recommend for someone who needs a reliable box to safely secure a few documents, or even just medications or pieces of jewelry (the plastic insert has spots for stuff like that). Just what I needed! I caught my teenage daughter's friend rifling through my drawer one night that I keep my wallet in. I just needed a box to keep the honest people honest. This won't stop a determined thief but will certainly keep the sneak thieves out. The gauge of steel is adequate. It won't stop a long flathead screwdriver, but is more than enough to keep sticky fingers out. I pick locks as a hobby and was pleasantly surprised to find that the lock is actually extremely difficult to pick. The lock is double bitted and may be a wafer lock, but the keyway is so restricted that none of my traditional tools would fit. I've had a few similar mini-safes in the past and the locks were all easily defeated in seconds with anything from bobby pins to paper clips - not this one. After 30 minutes or so of fumbling to keep tension on the cylinder, I gave up and deemed it adequate for my intended usage. I feel secure keeping my watch, wallet and pocket dump in this thing next to the bed as I sleep. Buy what you need. If you're not protecting your valuables against burglars, this will do the job. My wife keeps her prescription medication in it as well - you know how kids are these days. Much better than expected for the price.

This is a very solid box. I think I could run my truck over it without harming it. When closed, I cannot bend the metal with my strong hands. The sides overlap so there are no slots where coins could slip out. The tray is very solid plastic, not flexible or brittle. The latch is fairly solid. This box can be broken into with tools, but highly unlikely by hand. It is not a safe. The handle is solidly attached and will fold flush with the top. The size dimensions listed are correct. I think the weight was a typo.(16lb.) Mine weighs 4lb 9.8oz. with tray and keys. The corners are well rounded and smooth. A good shiny black finish. This item is very well made for this price. An excellent value. DO NOT lose the key. I have two of them and the same key will NOT open both boxes. They are uniquely keyed, which is surprising for something at this price. I bought them to store my mini PCs and they work very well for that. There is room for my netbook and many accessories.

This is cool to keep your money in when you are doing some pop ups. This can help with saving your money untill you can go deposit it.
