I bought this 3 port updated version to replace an existing single port unit installed behind our bedroom TV; this one allows me to provide wired Ethernet to the Sky Hd and Western Digital video player boxes we have. The PA2030 unit is perfect, supporting up to 3 devices and seamlessly connecting to the existing AV200 adapters I have in the house, one of which is connected to our main Internet router. I regularly stream HD video across these devices either from on demand services (Sky on demand, iplayer, 4OD etc) or from my media NAS (Synology) and they never miss a beat.Btw, I can't understand why you would buy the single pack of these (at £19.99) when the two pack of the same units is only £3 more! You're bound to need another one of these boxes at some stage, so having another in the cupboard for an extra 3 quid makes total sense to me. Having 3 ports probably saves a switch or another router behind areas like TVs or office desks where you need more than 1 wired device connected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you have pairing problems..... *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 13, 2014* Recently bought some of these to add to our existing home plugs of various makes. One of them connected problem free but the other didn't, and I then made things worse as I somehow manged to then connect the 2 together as a separate network from our other home plugs.So as others have said its best to try plugging them in and don't press anything. They should work out of the box. If that doesn't work then next tip is to press the pairing button for about 3 seconds. But if none of that works then here's how I got my 2 new home plugs to join my existing network.1 plug in offending homeplug(s) to mains2 connect offending home plug to laptop with supplied LAN cable3 install supplied software on laptop/PC4 in power line utility go to system menu and reset local device5 make sure the home plug has the same network name as the others - I needed to set the default name "HomePlugAV" simply by checking a tick box in the system menu on the 2 new devices, as this was what was on the existing ones. If you have 2 starters that won't pair then make sure they have the same name. Once set the home plugs then connected to my existing network. Not sure if it matters but this last step was done on a laptop not connected via wifi etc so it could only see and reset the directly connected homeplugLastly I have seen in other reviews that these don't work over different RCD's. Mine connect over different circuits for upstairs and downstairs ie router on 1 circuit, device on a different circuit, so my experience is that they do work over different RCD's. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Everything works fine now. I think the problem was that I ... *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 26, 2014* Purchased these to run on an existing TP-Link network. Had significant problems, ie they did not connect. Eventually I worked out the following procedure. uninstall my existing pa management utililities, install the 2030 management utility. Name the network and device . The 2 2030 worked together and I could access the internet. I then connected my existing adapters one by one to the lan port on my computer and entered the same network name as on the 2030. Everything works fine now. I think the problem was that I had not named the network on my original adapters and left them on default and the 2030 adapters dont accept this , so cannot see them.
