Excellent book....for making you physician and mathematician simultaneously,
I think this is the best book, although this is not a course book, but this book is for increase the interest in mathematics, you have to read in patience, and once you deep dive into it; it will be enjoying, this book is not for those who seeks shortcut in learning, this book has deep in itself, I'm thankful to this book to help in the interest in mathematics.

This book is ofcourse one of the best book for Engineering Mathematics...another such book is Advanced Engineering Mathematics by Greenberg... The print is also good... But the packaging was not that good...

Integral calculus, Differential calculus, Probability and statistics these are the topics which are not included in this book.

Recommended, serves its purpose for Engineering Maths
Most of the college will recommend this book, some will recommend B.s. grewal. If you are comfortable with foreign writers, you should go with this book. This book is not a plain mathematics book. It also deals with how you will be applying them in engineering aspects. The content that i have shared, you can see it doesnot contains Statistics. Your college will recommend another book for it. The price as on 15 july 2021 is ₹842.

If you are doing BSc physics then this book is good and sufficient to cover the mathematical aspects of your course. Can be used by students preparing for JAM JEST tifr for msc Physics

Great resource based on clear presentation of concepts with good examples. The tradeoffs with getting this International Student Version [instructional content identical to US textbook but section/chapter end problems often have different coefficient values, so cross checking against US Student Handbook is not one-to-one; the ISV is printed in B&W (shades of grey really) but a color PDF of US textbook version can be found on the internet; the ISV is printed on thin newsprint vs heartier paper stock] are acceptable given the significant savings realized vs the US textbook version cost. Note that the ISV does not include the following two section and corresponding chapters that are included in the US textbook version: PART F Optimization, Graphs CHAPTER 22 Unconstrained Optimization. Linear Programming CHAPTER 23 Graphs. Combinatorial Optimization PART G Probability, Statistics CHAPTER 24 Data Analysis. Probability Theory CHAPTER 25 Mathematical Statistics

well written, good format
Superb book, the author has written it in a context that is very useful for the learning process that most do not adopt by explaining what a topic is used and introducing topics in a logical progression. Shame the book was stitched and the first few pages fell out on opening, printers really need to improve quality control systems.

Cubre casi todas las matemáticas necesarias en ingeniería
El título del libro define su objetivo: matemáticas avanzadas para ingeniería. Supone que el lector ya tiene los conocimientos de cálculo infinitesimal necesarios. Su tratamiento del álgebra lineal es un poco rudimentario: actualmente cualquier curso de primero de una ingeniería profundiza más (existen libros que cubren el Álgebra, como los del profesor del MIT Gilbert Strang). En esta edición internacional, la probabilidad y estadística no se tratan, pero tampoco era lo mejor del texto. Sin embargo casi todos las matemáticas de ingeniería están cubiertas de una forma muy práctica y con ejemplos típicos. El problema de las ingenierías es que tienen las matemáticas dispersas en diversas cátedras y asignaturas con lo que al final, por desorganización, quedan temas que no se tratan. Este libro da una visión entendible de casi todas las matemáticas, incluso si hace años que no se estudian. Claro, siempre quedarán algunos aspectos especializados que no vienen. Buen libro para un profesional que debe usar las matemáticas en su trabajo habitual.

The title is a very good summary of what you can expect from this book
It explains from start with an understandable approach so the text flows like a charm. It is sad I am too lazy to do the exercises I think I could miss something this way. For that reason it is very likely that I will read it more than once...
