I have had several inexpensive ratchet belts. All have had the same problem. The "teeth" on the buckle only grip maybe 1/8 inch of the belt. So, the tension on this tiny portion of the belt causes the buckle to tear away from the belt, rendering the belt useless. You can cut off the torn part of the belt and reclamp the buckle. But, I have found that the belt will tear again quickly. This particular belt was a bit more expensive, so I thought the design might be better. Nope. Same problem - only a tiny bit of the belt is clamped to the buckle. So, the buckle tore away within a week. I like the concept of ratchet belts, but maybe a cheap one is not the way to go.

During my many years of wearing a belt, I have gone from size 29, in my youth, up to 42, in my middle age, and down again to 32 (still in middle age, thank you very much). Every belt I have ever worn before has never fit right. I was always between hole sizes and either the belt was too tight or it was too loose. I saw this belt on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. I've waited to review it to see if it held up (no pun intended... maybe) under daily use. So far, it has exceeded my expectations and shows no sign of breaking down. Releasing the buckle can be a little tricky until you get used to it, but it doesn't take long. The only way it could be better is if it came in different styles for casual, formal, and just fun designs.

It’s the first time I’ve gotten a belt that you slide into the other end that locks in place and VERY comfortable not to mention. I used to have a few belts that you put the “pin” of the belt through the other end if you know what I mean and hope you do. Sorry not sure exactly how to describe it🤔 But to have a belt you slide together and connect is terrific!

This is the fourth belt that I have how they didn't have this bel t for the last 30 years is unbelievable once you go ratchet belt you will never ever buy a regular belt

Twice the quality for half the price. Hard to top that! I bought two similar belts from a national golf store and had to replace both within one year. As soon as I opened the box and touch this belt, you can feel and see the difference.

The description states that "there is more than enough room to accommodate a 58" waist". Not true. The belt itself says the limit is a 54" waist. Put it around a 58" waist and you will need to pull your belly WAY IN just to get it around. It's going back!

I like the print design effect on the belt. I can hardly pass it as genuine leather as described. The gloss and shinny feel were not what I had anticipated. The belt is functional and may last after several uses.

I haveva few of these. Make them longer. Do not cut too short. They wear out and you my have to shorten. Longer is better.
