Perfect for girls above 8
I would recommend this book for any parent who has a girlkid turning 8/9 years old.I use the book more like a reference to talk to my girl. I don't read it with an intent to complete but going absolutely slowly to remove any doubts or myths in her mind .Definitely a must for a parent than a kid..

Must have for growing up girls.
This is like a Bible for growing up girls pre teens. All the questions a growing up kid has.. book is the perfect answer to those. I highly recommend parents of girls age 9-14.

Really nicely made it
Really nicely made it, I can tell all the mom s, please don't wait that your girls turn, 12 or 13 to give that book, it will be too late, 9 I feel is the good age, give her the book that she can read, and tell her that you are here to answer her question, I feel, that if you, as a mother make the thing Taboo, than the kids can feel shame of so many things. Talking about all of that, normally and simply anyway it's life it's happened to all of us, but the things can be so easy when you know it and you are prepared, like knowing what is the period. Anyway, my advice please buy this book, it s reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy good. :)

Knowing your body isn't optional
Got these book twice to gift different girls hitting puberty. One of them came back to tell me how it made sense and it answers many of her questions

Great little book for girls
Informative book aimed at tweenager stage (8 years onwards) appropriate for pre pubescent girls who are starting to ask questions about body changes which supplements what they are getting taught at school. Deals with physical changes and periods as well as nutrition, exercise and emotions. Small section on boys body changes. It doesn't cover sex. Easy to read with age appropriate illustrations and diagrams.

I recommend it!
I have a ten year old girl who is developing and curious. This book helped to answer all of her questions and begin a good mother/daughter conversation for us. The illustrations are great. They are age appropriate and not too graphic. Great book. I'm going to use this when my 5 year old is old enough to begin this conversation.

Perfect for girls who want to know whatโs happening to their bodies.
I wanted a book that told my 10 year old daughter what was happening to her body but without mentioning sex as I feel she is not ready for that yet. After reading the reviews this book is perfect. Enough detail to explain what is happening and enough for her to ask questions.

Great Resource for Adolescents about Growing Up
This has been one of the most popular books in my 6th grade classroom library this year. My students, as is to be expected, are very curious about their bodies, and about the bodies of the opposite sex. This book does a nice job of explaining how things work, along with delving into feelings and the ins and outs of being a maturing girl. As I said, it's so popular that I can't seem to keep it on the shelf in my classroom. The book has sparked numerous healthy conversations about development and has given me many opportunities to dissolve myths that are pervasive in the minds of young people. It's a good resource, and kids relate well to the writing style and graphics.

Good book
Got this for my 8 yr old as she's started asking questions about her changing body. It's not intense it provides good assurance so she can browse through at her own speed. No sex references which I was keen to avoid at her age. Small section on boys bodies which is helpful to her.
