I have used it for 2.0L ecoboost and everything works fine. I cannot tell if it is recommended for 1.6L. I think you can ask about it from ford service.

This is what my FORD VEHICLE needs and well worth the extra cost of the factory branded product! Transmission fluid replacement works wonders!! Motorcraft reliability is excellent! Don't sell yourself short buying a substitute brand to save a few bucks.
