Q: what is the height from the floor to the top of the arm rest when the chair is in the lowest position?

It is just about 29 inches. This height is with polyurethane wheels that did not come with the chair. These wheels seem to be slightly higher than the wheels it came with - about 1/2 inch taller.

Q: Can the arm rests be lowered or removed?

I tried both ways with and without the arms. And without the arms I feel like the back of the chair will extend too far and break. However, if you are able to still find comfort, I loosened the screws at the top of the arm rest and only used the first holes at the bottom of the chair if the arm rest. Gave a little more room for the thighs. Otherwise, I would have had to return the chairs because they would have been too uncomfortable to sit in.

Q: How do you install the casters?

The casters just pop in. You need to push them, firmly and they will pop in place.

Q: what is the lowest this chair goes? I was wanting it to fit under a vanity.

At lowest Seat is 19" and top of armrest is 25 1/2" .
