NCIS: Season 4

It's fun watching the series again. I don't have cable so I watch DVDS. I had forgotten how good and funny the series is. Will keep buying until I've watched them all.

I live to watch the NCIS programs. I love them all. They make my life livable. I cannot imagine my life without NCIS! I love the original ones like these with TONY and Ziva. There is nothing better than these programs. They are beyond fantastic! IT's great for my blood pressure. I laugh so much until I cry.

A part of a crime series. Well made.

I dearly love law enforcement movies. They always get the bad guy. My dad was a chief of police and I have a nephew that followed in his footsteps that just retired as Chief of Police of Shively Police Department in Shivley, Kentucky. I have a great newphew that just finished the academy and is employed in Indiana as a cadet. I just really get into law, FBI, criminal minds, and as you know my favorite is NCIS with Mark Harmons team. I had collected all the seasons and couldn't find the 4th season and was telling this friend of mind. She knows how I am about purchasing on the internet. I have heard so many tells I just wouldn't never do it. She was telling me she orders from Amazon.Com all time and has never had a problem. I know she always tells me the truth. So, I got on there and ordered the 4th season, received it in like three days and didn't even have to pay shipping. (Lucky day) Then I received an e-mail from you and ask me if I wanted to pre order the 10th season so I did. It will be out this month. I really trust your company and love the way you keep us informed on the movies you know we like. As for Mark Harmon and his team, I don't know which one I like the best. It takes all of them to make it work and they are so good in the parts they play. I could talk all day about NCIS, I just don't have any negative thing to say about them. Thanks.

as we all know Season 3 leaves us with Gibbs gone from his position as the head of the NCIS team. He's out of the fold but comes back in a case by case basis for the first few episodes. As Tony is in charge of the team since Gibbs has been gone and isn't really too keen on giving that position back. Among them being Ziva gets framed for murder when a bombing takes place while she's out on the town. It only takes another episode or two and Gibbs is back and running things. All the actors/actresses come together to make this show what it is. A throughly engaging, story driven and all around fun show to watch. It just clicks from episode to episode with various cases in need of solving and a couple that delve deeper into the inner workings of the Director. As she has a history with one of the criminals that the team is trying to apprehed. The fourth season of NCIS continues to roll on and bring us excellent stories. I'm looking forward to checking out the next couple seasons on DVD very soon. Keep the show going it is one of the better and more interesting shows out there.

I really feel that in the forth season of NCIS, the team began to hit their stride because they'd had a year or so to gel as a dramatic unit with the addition of Ziva and the departure of Kate Todd after season two and the directors chair there got some brief stability with the addition of Lauren Holly as director Jenny Sheppard an often adversarial foil for Gibbs, perfected better in later years by Rocky Carroll. This is the season when favorite characters became more human to the audience unlike some police procedurals' where everyone is either a man of steel type incapable of emotion or a walled off gun touting bad ass chick who only talks through the trail of blood they leave on the floor. For example, Tony while on special assignment for Dir. Sheppard falls in love with the daughter of notorious arms dealer La Gran Wie conflicting his duty to the agency with his personal life...a real departure for playboy Tony. Tim Magee quits NCIS after his sister is accused in the murder of Navy sailor indicating that although he loves the agency something is more important than his job, which we may not have known before. Even tough as nails former Moussad assassin Ziva David displays her human side when she falls for a young man condemned to die after being poisoned. Without these character building moments that show genuine weakness alongside the tough bravado, NCIS would not be the success it is today.

My family loves this show and watch the re-runs on cable tv as often as we can. Because we enjoy it so much we have begun collecting the entire series (seasons 1-7). Some of these seasons, as a collection, are pretty expensive. When we found this season at this price we had to have it. We received it days before we expected, in perfect shape, and were able to watch the special features immediately. The commentaries, cast roundtables, ducky's world, going behind the scenes to see what goes into making this hit was so much fun. We love all the characters and their stories as they are revealed starting with season 1. If you're a fan of NCIS we recommend buying this product. You'll love it as much as we do.

Bewertung: Während die deutsche Ausgabe in Halbstaffeln aufgeteilt ist (Season 4.1. und 4.2.), liegt der UK-Import als Komplettbox vor. Auf den DVDs 1-6 sind pro DVD je 4 Folgen der 4. Staffel (= 24 Folgen) vorhanden. Das DVD-Box-Cover ist in Englisch, ebenso der Aufdruck der DVDs. Sprachen: Deutsch, Englisch, Italienisch, Französisch Untertitel: Deutsch, Englisch, Italienisch, Französisch, Niederländisch, Dänisch, Finnisch, Norwegisch, Schwedisch FAZIT: Ich war und bin auch ein Fan der US-Serie "JAG - Im Auftrag der Ehre". In zwei Folgen von "JAG" wurde damals die neue Serie "Navy-CIS" eingeführt. "JAG" lief sehr erfolgreich im Zeitraum 1995-2005. Seit 2003 gibt es nun schon die Serie "NCIS". Anfangs war ich skeptisch, wurde aber nach dem Erwerb der 1. Staffel von "NCIS" eben- falls ein Fan dieser Serie! Ich habe mir die 2., 3. und 4. Staffel von NCIS als UK-Import-Ausgabe gekauft. Bezüglich des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses, würde ich mich jederzeit wieder für die UK-Import-Komplett-Box entscheiden! Die UK-Komplettbox der 3. Staffel enthält als 7. DVD eine Bonus-Material-DVD. Warum man in der UK-Komplettbox- Ausgabe der 2. und 4. Staffel diese 7. Bonus-DVD eingespart hat, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen!!!

A wonderful show that does not lower its standards of acting, writing and plotting. Have all the existing seasons now and definitely waiting for more. So refreshing to see somebody like Mark Harmon's Gibbs - old fashioned silent, strong type with an extra-dry sense of humor which nearly dissapeared from the screens. The show also keeps a wonderful balance between the professional and personal - the personal interactions and problems are quite interesting and well developed without tilting too much onto the family/romance side. One of the greatest advantages of this show is that it is never sentimental, even when talking about quite moving matters. It is all dealt with tactfully and often funnily (when the subject permits it). In short, definitely one of the best shows around - clever, witty, non-sentimental and refusing to slide into a TV screen buffonade (which some shows easily do).

NCISは米国での超人気番組であることは現在8シーズンも続いていることからもわかります。これだけ続くことはまずありません。広い意味では「刑事物」のわけですが、魅力は主要人物の個性とそのやりとりのドラマ性にあるでしょう。特に「ボス」のGibbsの魅力は大きいでしょう。 NCISは1話完結が基本ですが、S4からその中で長い話の流れが強く出てきます。特にDirectorのJennyの過去、そしてTonyの活躍が大きな要素を占めるシーズンです。こういったところがマンネリ化しない理由の一つでしょう。 ロマンス、アクション、そしてドラマ性、どれから見ても面白いシーズンだと思います。
