I bought this product for 2nd time, old one lasted 2 years, coating off now(evidence attached). Very worthy to buy again, prouct is 5 star n service support may be bad as I struggled hard. You will take abt 15 days of practice to get perfect chapati. How i use: very fine flour, softer than we use at home, 30 min wait, 5 min pre heat, press n flip instant n keep open, rotate roti round n round, flip, rotate roti round n round, flip n now close the upper lid. Use to make about 20 rotis per day. Works well once you get used to it. Worked well for an year. The nonstick coating came off after about 2 years use. Also the cord got shorted and had to take for repair 3 to 4 times so far. Replacement cord costs about 100Rs. The thermostat has stopped working now. Going for another brand now. Overall was a good buy except for the maintenance issues.

Honestly, the best time to buy the Libra roti maker is summers. Standing in front of a burning gas stove in peak summer was getting unbearable, especially since you have to keep the fan off so the flame doesn't misbehave. Now, I just plug this onto my dining table right under the fan and make hot chapatis comfortably. The secret to soft rotis in this machine is making the dough much softer and wetter than usual. All in all, it is a must have kitchen appliance.

Roti is very hard, if roti maker needs to be designed softly.

U & my friends tried many brands but everything flopped. I was curious seeing some good reviews for libra, so bought it. Verdict: it definitely works with some practice. Tips: 1. Be prepared to waste a lot of flour. Practice makes perfection. 2. 900 watts model is the best. The lower heat gives us full control over temperature. I bought 950 watts model later. The non stick coating is better & i finally learned to use this too but i still feel 900 w is better. 3. Knead the flour in the normal way. Shld not be too thick or runny. Place it above the centre & press. Flip it once. The momen you see bubbles, move the roti towards the end of handle & close the lid. It will fluff. It it breaks anywhere, just press with a cloth. 4. If you find that the roti is cracking like earthquake then it means the machine is too hot. Switch it off for 2 mins & continue. 5. You can add ghee after the roti fluffs 6. See my video for reference
