Most of your range is coarse grind. Why?** A: Dear Sir. Our Ground Espresso is a fine grind. Espresso's use fine grind as the water is pushed through the finely ground and tamped coffee in the brew basket at high preassure. Our French Press coffees are coarsely ground so the coffee grounds stays below the mesh when the plunger is pushed down. Our Filter Coffees for South Indian Drip Filters are of Medium grind size. Too fine grind in these filters will clog the filter because the fine coffee will compact inside the filter and will not drip. Coarsely ground coffee would drip too fast as the water will flow through it too fast and decoction would be too mild. Medium sized grind is what is required for south Indian Filters and that is what we do for our Pure Filter Coffee and South Indian Filter Coffee. You can control the drip by adjusting the pressure when you push down the coffee inside the filter chamber before you add hot water. We hope this helps.
