I am not a professional nail tech, however I do have nearly two decades of experience using gel on my own nails to maintain a gel overlay. These Modelones gel nail forms are great! The 11 different sizes are a good variety, and the thumb 0/1 sizes fit my nails. These forms will aid me in checking my regular rebalance to maintain a proper shape. I have used the ASP acrylic forms successfully and they are nice, but I don't care for the higher c-curve on those, nor the bump those forms have at the cuticle. I bought these Modelones gel forms because they have a more natural c-curve and no bump at the cuticle. They look like they will do exactly what I bought them for. The plastic is sturdy and I appreciate the length guides, though I won't need those because I keep my nails at 1/4" past my finger tip, the maximum allowed at my work. However, on rare occasions I will do a set of gel extensions on a friend or family member for a special event, and the length guides will be helpful in doing that.

This is a comparison of these dual forms vs the ModelOnes dual forms that come with their polyel starter kit. So, the ModelOnes polygel starter kit comes with dual forms already, but they're more curved (both length-wise and across) than these ones here. These ones work better if you have flatter, less curved nails. I have a mixture of both, so I use some of these on some nails, and some of the dual forms that come with the kit on the rest. You gotta kinda mix-and-match. Another reason I like these ones better (than the ones that come in the kit) is that they have line markers for both straight and curved tips, and by that I mean that if you're planning on doing coffin nails, the forms from the starter kit are fine, but if you want to do round nails, you'll want to use these ones here. Also, the dual forms that come in the starter kit just come in a little plastic bag all jumbled together, instead of in a case. Super annoying. These ones here come in their own case and are separated by size. That's a definite plus. The trick to getting them off easily is to let the nails cool for a few seconds when you take them out of the lamp, then the forms will pop of easily. If you don't wait, you're gonna have to wrestle with them a bit, but waiting makes it MUCH easier to take them off. If you're having trouble with the forms, you can find dozens of tutorials on YouTube that will help you troubleshoot, or just google something like "common polygel mistakes" or "beginner polygel tips". All in all, these are really nice dual forms and they work great, and I don't regret spending the money on them at all. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Works great for first time users.

I personally don't like the look of the super curved nails; it's just not my cup of tea. The duals give a straighter shape with a slight curve that is more flattering in my opinion. There is just enough apex to give the nails a natural look (no need to file down if polygel is properly applied). The nails are just under 2 inches max length (I eyeballed and didn't measure it). While polygel use has a learning curve, these dual forms made even my first polygel set beautiful. Removing them after curing is a little tricky, but that's to be expected. I love that there is no residue left on the forms after curing and removal. Note that you can reuse the same dual forms over and over. Some of them I had to hand file because of the shape of my cuticles, which was fairly easy to do as the plastic was firm yet soft enough. Make sure to pick the right size form - it should be just slightly bigger than your actual nail, covering both sidewalls. The picture at the end is my second set. Not bad results for the second application, right? I definitely recommend these😁🩷

The kit does include both shapes which I didn’t realize, personally for me it didn’t have the slim cuticle fit. I would say for price point and for two different styles it’s great: If you wanted to try out sandwich forms also the scissors included is a bonus for customizing. I may be more particular because I like a seamless cuticle and I thought they might have worked because I wanted a speedy delivery. But I have small nail beds. So these were not the right choice for me. I had first tried out MGart universal pro( not from Amazon ) the cuticle area was perfect, but I did not like the huge arch. So I think that’s why I didn’t like these because I was already used to that type of cuticle fit. Other than that there are several good selling points to these sandwich forms over others. I can’t say anything in regards to quality or durability; because I didn’t use them more than one time, and I never used the almond shape. They could be perfect for average size nails. I purchased these because of the reviews. In a way sandwich forms can save you work, but they can also be more work something to think about. Also, the almond shaped forms could have been a different fit, but they didn’t look like or feel like it.

It takes a little practice to get the bottom form in position, but using these are way easier to use than the single style dual form. It makes them very clean and neat on the bottom. I like how the nail is fully enclosed, so it will last longer. It also give a nice apex shape

Super Duper amazing! I recommend them. The slight downward angle and the natural subtle apex, help you quickly create a perfect nail extension! There may be a bit of a learning curve if you are inexperienced, but give them a try
