Never trusted the rechargeable because of the upfront cost and not knowing if they'd last. I purchased these for my moultrie feeders and I absolutely am a believer. I'd get maybe 2-3 weeks out of a heavy cell battery from the store (in the winter). These last nearly a month and a half every use. I now have 6 of them I rotate between my feeders. They all have at least one full season and a couple have 2 and they are still going strong. The math I've done they are worth it if they even last one full hunting season - not even considering the fact that I have a couple of feeders in some hard to reach places that I want to know are operating without having to tend them frequently. These do the job!
