## Description

The Caseta Deluxe Dimming Kit with Caseta Smart Hub provides simple, customized control of your lights, tones and temperature. Control your lights from anywhere inside your home with the included Pico remotes or from anywhere in the world using the free Lutron app. Set lights to automatically adjust with spring and fall time changes, create custom schedules to turn lights on, off, or dim at set times to better fit your daily routines, or control the lights with your voice via Alexa and Siri. The Caseta Smart Hub also connects with other leading brands like Ring, Honeywell, Sonos, Serena Shades and more. The included wall dimmers install easily with no neutral wire required, provide the best dimming performance for over 500 different dimmable LED bulbs, and can be controlled from anywhere inside the home with the included Pico remotes. To use dimmers in a multi-location application, replace the existing switch with a Pico remote and wall plate adapter (PICO-WBX-ADAPT, sold separately). Review: In 2020 I lived in an older house with no neutral wires. I wanted to upgraded the lights in the living room and kitchen to smart lights, but most of the available options were expensive smart bulbs or systems that only work with neutral wires. Like everything else I purchase, I do TONS of research first. I eventually found this system and it matched my needs exactly. I purchased this kit plus a single additional dimmer to use in a 3-way switch setup. It was very easy to install, even for the 3-way switch. The included plate covers hide the screw holes giving it a more modern and clean look. It even comes with a remote. After installing the hub and switches I downloaded and installed the free mobile app. With the app you have complete control of every switch individually, thanks to the tiny hub that ties them all together using its own wireless network. The hub plugs into your wireless router so you can control your switches from anywhere over the internet. You can also create scenes and schedules to control them separately or together in groups for different scenarios. For example, sometimes I wanted to turn off the kitchen and living rooms at the same time with a single action, or turn on/off the kitchen without affecting the living room. That same year we were gifted a Google home mini. After getting that setup I was able to easily integrate the Lutron system with it. I could now says "Hey Google, turn off all lights", or "set living room lights to 30 percent". It really was a game changer not having to jump up and run across the room just to adjust the lighting. It may sound like the next step in laziness, but I saw it as the next step in productivity, as I work from home and having to stop working for a simply task was a distraction I was happy to no longer be burdened with. Other times you just want to raise the lights to find something or to clean up a spill quickly or turn the lights off for a quick nap without having to move at all. We moved into a newer home in early 2022. After my previous experience with the Lutron products I installed the existing system in the new home and expanded it, making nearly all of the switches smart Lutron switches. I even have smart outlets outside over 100 feet away from the hub to turn on and off exterior lighting as the sun rises and sets. Adding new switches and outlets is a breeze. You just install them, select them in the mobile app and push a button to pair them to the hub. I have seen a lot of newcomers to the smart switch arena in the past three years, but most still have the same limitations as in the past, such the the neutral wire requirement. Even my newer home has some switches that lack neutral wires, so Lutron is still the best option. Lutron does of course also offer many switches that do work with neutral wires, such as where you only want on/off switching without the need to dim. For those switches you do wish to use as a dimmer, make sure the bulbs you use are compatible. Incandescent as dimmable. Most newer LED bulbs are NOT dimmable, so be sure to read the box to make sure they will work with your switch. This has been a solid and outstanding system with zero issues that I have used to run my homes for the past three years. Anyone with light switches will love this system as much as I have.
Review: Me gusto mucho este kit porque trae todo lo necesario para empezar, la instalación de los apagadores es como cualquier otra, y lo bueno es que no requiere un cable neutro extra a diferencia de la mayoría de los atenuadores inteligentes que están en el mercado, el bridge es muy simple, elegante y de bajo perfil, la configuración desde la app es de lo mas fácil. Me gusto lo fácil que es usar la app y que prácticamente no hay delay en su uso y lo que tardan en prender las luces, ademas que con la app también puedes vincular productos de sonos para crear escenas. Lo que mas me gusto es el hecho de poder controlar las luces desde cualquier lugar, es decir el bridge lutron te permite ver que luces están prendidas en tu casa sin necesidad de tener un hub adicional conectado a la nube. Yo lo utilizo con alexa (a pesar de que aun esta en ingles) y con homekit de apple y todo funciona perfecto, hasta el momento el sistema no me a fallado me encanto, lo recomiendo mucho.

**Q: Does it require the lutron hub or can i use the samsung smartthings hub instead?**
A: Your question is clear, but because some folks might not understand what they're asking, I'll cover all the bases.  1) NO third party hub - not even SmartThings - can talk "directly" to Lutron Switches... you need the Lutron hub first, and then you can have "something else" (SmartThings, etc) talk to the Lutron hub.  2) Someone else said you need the Lutron hub for "wireless", but I would clarify that the wireless remotes DO work without any hub at all. 3) The switches and their remotes function perfectly as dumb switches, without any hub at all (while this may seem obvious to some, it is a common question). Because the Caseta switches work so well as dumb switches, you could buy the switches FIRST and get the hub later (if you're considering the "Lutron Maestro" line because of the Caseta cost, this approach may be for you because at least you will have the OPTION later.... a Caseta switch is only ~$20 more than a Maestro and the Maestro is a dead-end technology-wise).

**Q: Does this kit work with apple homekit ?**
A: Yes, the Caseta Wireless system is compatible with Apple HomeKit if you are using the Smart Bridge (model: L-BDG2-WH), which is included. Please visit www.casetawireless.com/integration for more information.

**Q: can i control 2 switches with one remot**
A: Yes you can. A Pico remote has the ability to control as many switches you would like simultaneously as long as they are in range.

**Q: What's included? And does this allow you to use samsung smart things app and alexa voice control?**
A: The P-BDG-PKG1W-A includes one Smart Bridge, one PD-6WCL dimmer, one PJ2-3BRL Pico remote and one wallbox adapter plate for the Pico remote. With the Smart Bridge, you will be able to integrate Caseta and Samsung SmartThings, along with Alexa.

These dimmers seem to work great. I've installed about 7 so far with a few types of regressed ceiling lights and wall sconces and they all dim smoothly. Pros: - Smooth on/off dimming. You can press and hold to change the brightness level, or tap, and it has a lot of levels between 0 and 100% so you don't get that "skipping" effect some dimmers have. - When the dimmer is off, there is a slight green glow to the brightness level indicator on the left side of the switch. It's very subtle, doesn't distract and helps you find it in the dark - Works with every type of light I've tested so far. "Dim to warm" ceiling and sconces light on and off smoothly over 1-2 seconds and look great. - Allows for wireless "3 way switches". This saved me a lot of electrical wiring work when I wanted two switches across an empty room to control the same lights. You can stick the wireless one anywhere, program it quickly and make it blend in with other switches. Cons: - This particular pack only has the round center "scene" button on the wireless switch. This may not be an issue to most, but if you press the regular "on" button, lights automatically go to the brightest setting, not to whatever level you had them at last time. The scene button can turn lights on just to 30% or whatever you set it to. If that's important to you, go buy the version with a scene button on all switches, wired and wireless.
