Perfect for steeping tea,plus they're just so cute. We use them everyday!

I bought these for my dad, who became walker bound during a battle with cancer. He would spill his coffee all over his walker tray, so I found these hoping they would prevent the spills and allow him some independence. I wish they would have come with some simple instructions as it isn't as intuitive as you would think. They do not create an immediate suction and continue to slide off and allow the liquid to spill. We discovered that if you wet it a little bit (with a damp paper towel) and pressed on it slightly, that would create enough of a suction to seal it. Another downside (for us) was removing it after creating a good seal. You had to ensure you were holding onto the cup / mug and then very gently peal back the cover, otherwise you would spill liquid all over. Otherwise the colors were nice, they were made of a good quality rubber and they were very easy to clean. Overall I don't think I would recommend this for a weaker person, like my dad was, as I think it can be too difficult for them to use. But for someone who just wants a cup cover and weakness / dexterity issues are not at play, then I think it is a nice product! Taking off one star because I think adding simple instructions / helpful tips would be extremely useful / helpful for future buyers.
