I use it for everything, hand soap and in the shower. If the soap appears to separate after it is mixed, the cause is the water is too acidic. I never truly got into it but saw online that it works great for cleaning shoes without needing to place them in the washer. It's amazing for cleaning, they look brand new. I diluted it at least 5 to 1 in a foam dispenser and used microfiber clothes. Use 3: one for the foam, a second wet microfiber cloth with just water and a third to dry off. No need for a washer/dryer mess and clean shoes! This is pretty concentrated so I filled two foam dispensers for washing my hands. I still have concentrate in the original container. Great for everything! I've read it's good for washing clothes and as body shower as well. I have terribly sensitive skin and my hands are doing good with it. I got the peppermint one and it smells great! Great value for the money if you ask me. Probably cheaper than buying hand-soap refills of cheaper soap with lower quality ingredients.
