Palacios Original Spanish Chorizo, 7.9 Ounce – Authentic Chorizo Sausage from Spain, Ready to Eat, All Natural, Gluten Free, Lactose Free, No Preservatives or Artificial Colors

If you're looking for authentic Spanish chorizo, look no further than Chorizo Palacios. I’ve tried several brands over the years, but this one stands out for its rich flavor, perfect texture, and high quality. The moment you open the package, the aroma hits you — smoky, savory, with just the right hint of paprika and garlic. It’s fully cured, so you can slice it and eat it straight out of the package, which makes it ideal for charcuterie boards, tapas nights, or just a snack with some crusty bread and cheese. The texture is firm but not overly dry, making it super satisfying to chew. I also love using it in cooking — it adds incredible depth to stews, paellas, or even tossed into scrambled eggs. Unlike overly processed sausages, you can tell Palacios uses real ingredients and traditional methods. Pros: Authentic Spanish flavor Great balance of spices and smokiness Ready to eat — no cooking required Long shelf life No artificial preservatives or fillers Cons: Slightly pricey, but worth it for the quality May be a bit spicy for very sensitive palates Final Thoughts: Chorizo Palacios is a delicious, high-quality product that delivers on taste and tradition. Whether you're building a tapas spread or just indulging in a savory snack, this chorizo won’t disappoint. Highly recommend to any cured meat lover!

For the record, I am reviewing: Chorizo Autentico Mild by Palacios. Imported from Spain. 7.9 Ounce First, if you have ever used the Sweet Smoked Spanish Paprika (imported kind), then you know how strong of a flavor these have. They use that paprika to make this sausage and let me tell you they use a lot. I used this in Jambalaya and in Paella and when I used it the first time I cut slices about a quarter of an inch thick to add to the jambalaya and that was way too thick. I highly recommend that you almost shave these into pepperoni style cuts of meat, and do not use a lot, the taste is overpowering in your dish as the flavor is so strong. I do love it, but you have to get the right amount. I purchased the two pack, and believe me those two are going to last me a year. The last dish I made i uses a total of 10 thin slices and it was just right, gave the rice the best flavor and was not overpowering of the other flavors that I wanted to present in the dish. I have wrapped the unused portion and put it in the freezer and expect it will last forever since it is a dried sausage. Just to that you know, I think the MILD refers to the heat level not the spice level because the amount of spices in this sausage is very high, you can tell by the color when you cut it that it is loaded with spices.

This chorizo is amazing. I can never find it around where I live. All you see is Mexican chorizo and that stuff sucks. I use this Spanish cured chorizo for the best street tacos you've ever had. Just make sure you remove the casing before you eat it. Also when ever you cook it, make sure to strain and press out all the paprika drippings with paper towels, there will be a lot. It's also great cooked and added to jambalaya or many other recipes. It's even great simply sliced (no casing) with some extra sharp white cheddar cheese and crackers. It's worth it, you get quite a bit. Delicious!!

Really good really authentic tastes great

I first purchased this recently from wegmans and have been obsessed! I went on amazon to see if they had it (and if so at a lower price). Unfortunately no dice, it was priced maybe 50 cents more here but figured I’d buy it as i was trying to get one day delivery. Anyways, while pricey, it’s very yummy. I don’t put it in anything, I just slice some thick pieces for me to eat and it’s so tasty I end up eating the entire chorizo! I have heated some slices up in my Panasonic toaster oven for a few mins and it tastes just as (if not more) delicious! The casing is very thin and easy to peel off as well - usually feed that part to my dog. The size isn’t 7.9 oz or what not, it ranges, each package will vary. I have gotten some that are slightly more and some that are definitely less, so that would be my only con- and that’s just for whoever writes the weight of the item/ it’s incorrect and inconsistent. It doesn’t matter to me but just something to note. I don’t own a scale but also know that the same one I have purchased from wegmans says 7.2 oz or so. so I’m unsure if it’s on the packaging or in the listing but it’s not correct- it will range. I highly recommend to anyone that loves chorizo and eating it as is! While not the healthiest thing to eat it’s still protein & a yummy indulgence to suit your chorizo cravings! I buy the mild kind, it has plenty of flavor & addicting!

Perfect for a Portuguese soup recipe I was trying out. Flavorful, right amount, priced right.

They made me edit my review so instead of telling you the truth about the disgusting quality of what I received I will just say I do not recommend you buy this product.
