Bad Cable
This cable is junk. Either no video output, or output with heavy scan lines in greyscale. Tested on 3 different TV with a Sega Genesis (Model 2).

It works as intended for Sega Genesis 2
I got the wrong cord originally (it was for first Sega Genesis) so I bought this one and it worked perfectly. Just plugged it in and immediately started working.
