Whisper Air Pump for Deep Water Applications

This is a really great air pump. It makes virtually no noise and outputs a great deal of air. I am using the AP150 in a 75 gallon with 2 bubble strips and I have to limit the output with valves because it outputs so much air. You don't have to worry about trying to set this on a towel or similar to keep vibrations and noise down, because it's apparently already taking care of the noise and vibrations internally. I can't recommend this air pump enough, especially if you have been struggling with a noisy pump that just doesn't output the air you need. This is great value for the money.

Very powerful pump and extremely quiet. Works perfectly for a 29-gallon tank with an undergravel filter and air stone.

Great pump except I thought I was getting the pump shown in the picture with 2 outlets. The pump that arrived came with one outlet only. Other than that, it arrived quickly and was well packaged. The pump is quiet and produces many bubbles.

I was thinking that there could be no way that this big air pump could be silent but wow to my surprise I was dead wrong. This pump is very impressive, not a sound, literally 99% quite. Definitely would recommend this. It's power is what you might expect, it handles quite a bit. I had 2 long length air stone sticks, a bubble decor, and another 4 inch air stone connected and it was easy for it. One negative is that it only has 1 air outlet & using a cheap splitter even with control valves it's tricky. If you're connecting something that's not level with everything else at the bottom you'll have to get a splitter & adjust it till you got it to wear you want it.

I returned the pump as it was the smaller option, however I have the larger pumps and they work great in my Koi ponds.

I bought the 300 gallon model for my 120 gallon tank. Overkill? Maybe, but it does the job like no other air pump I've owned. I have it powering two 4-inch round air stones via 8 feet of black airline (anti-siphon valves are a must!) The pump is located in the cabinet beneath my tank approximately 2 feet below the bottom of the aquarium. It is so powerful, it is pushing air up to the top of the tank and then back down 30+ inches to the bottom where I have the two air stones buried in the rocks. (To keep them down, I used silicone to attach pieces of slate to the bottom of each air stone - it helps, a lot!) While this air pump is huge (5" x 8"), it is also hugely quiet. My old air pump was the size of a deck of cards and this one makes no more sound than that one did. The high rate of airflow makes two huge columns of bubbles. This thing is even better than I'd hoped. PRO'S: POWERFUL QUIET GREAT PRICE CON'S HAVEN'T FOUND ANY, YET! If you're looking for something to get air to your fish - GET THIS PUMP (300 VERSION)! IT WORKS! My 7-year-old blood parrot cichlid was a very pale orange until I installed this bad boy. He's huge and is about 7 inches long and 5-6 inches tall. My smaller blood parrots were always much darker in color, and I could never figure out why. In less than 24 hours his color changed to an orange that is almost red. I never knew he was not getting enough oxygen. Now, he looks better than ever.

I decided to try the Tetra Whisper 300 as a replacement air pump for my well water ozonator-filtration system, about 2 years ago when the original and extremely expensive pump failed. Rather than spend nearly $200 on an identical replacement pump, plus an additional $50 for a replacement mounting kit, I decided to use this much less expensive pump that claims to deliver nearly identical air volume and pressure. It worked, fabulously! I did some minor cabinet modifications to accommodate the new pump, plus I taped (PVC tape) some foam on the pump cover to reduce noise/vibration. Two years later, running 24/7, the pump still works fine. This pump is also rebuildable for about $17 - the original ozonator pump has a rebuild kit that costs about as much as a new Whisper 300, if you are lucky enough to find it. Note: This application will only work for 120v pump replacement; many well systems are 240v. 240v power can be split to create a 120v circuit - don't try it if you are unsure or unfamiliar with doing electrical work.

Really good product, however it is only 110v so had to buy an inverted to step the voltage up to 240v for uk. So really had to spend a further £30 on extra parts apart from that it is a fantastic product

This is a fantastic air pump. So quiet you will be amazed. Pushing air like crazy for a small unit. Highly recommend this air pump. Price is pretty good for the quality as well. Bedroom quiet zzzzz

A great air pump for large tanks. I got it for my 100 gallon and it is super powerful! I'd even go as far to say it would be better for a tank closer to 200 gallons as it's a bit too powerful on full. The only thing about this pump is that it does not have any adjustment for air flow so you will need to buy a separate control valve or just leave it on full. It is a decently quiet pump, especially for its output. I just surrounded it with a towel (not covering it) and after a few hours it's hardly noticeable. Highly recommend!
