Unexpected product quality
I really like this canon printer it's affordable and easy to install i really love the quality of printing both black and colour no smudge i really like the quality of this product they also provided both ink cartridges, it's really compatible for home use

Overall good printer for home
Printing speed is decent, print quality is good but colour prints could be better. Printer quality is also decent. Easy to install, connect and use. Overall I am satisfied with this printer as this pricing.

At your own risk
Buy this printer at your own risk.. I bought printer mainly for wireless printing capability. Minutes after getting printer, I started configuration, wireless never worked, iPhone, android, mac and win(have all 4) none worked. All options, suggestions found on canon portal and none worked. With no options, reached canon support. They did not even tried doing basic TS but told me to go to service centre saying 80-100 km (to and from for 2 times). for all obvious reason I refused. Further reached Amazon and their amazing support helped me in returning it. Amazon kept its trust but canon completely failed. Never going back to any canon product.

Printing speed is good, print quality is excellent colour prints is also good. Printer quality is also decent. Easy to install, connect and use. Overall I am satisfied with this printer as this pricing. Amazon excellent service

Good printer
Good printer. With free small cartridges. Was unable to print by wifi because printer showing offline. May be settings issue. Rest of functions very fine and easy. Installation CD Software application interaction same as Pixma G series

The printer is great. Ink cartridge ? Not so much !
Bought this as a Diwali gift for my sons who need to print their school, college assignments/reference material etc. The printer itself is neat and does the job well (although ideas for saving on paper through double sided printing is a hassle with this one), it looked great for the first 6 months. However with the claimed print capacity of 400 pages for the Black Ink cartridge PG-47 that came along with the printer I was surprised to see it gave up with barely 200 pages printed (infact it could be as little as 150 pages). With the ink cartridge exhausting such quickly I am largely disappointed in print outputs department. Canon can do better !

Everything is good, ink consumption is heavy.
Works fine. Scans clearly, photocopies quickly and prints good. Ink usage is heavy and requires frequent refills. Ink is expensive, so that increases the cost of operating it.
