Couldn't be happier! This is my second e-reader; my first is a kindle paperwhite. Size: I was surprised that it was significantly smaller than what I was used to but holy cow am I happy with it. User-friendly: The customization is quite amazing, shocking actually because there's literally so many things you can change (be aware you'll spend a good amount of time figuring out what you'll like). But once you hit that sweet spot, its just a wonderful experience! Battery Life: Knowing full well the battery life was not going to match the kindle (for obvious reasons of it being a full android) it didnt actually bother me. I don't know how it affects others, but I typically read 1-2 hours a night (full time job & 3 kids I don't get to read as much as I would like) each full charge still gets me a solid 2-3 weeks. Color: I was skeptical about the color, its not as vibrant as I thought it was going to be compared to what I've seen in video reviews, but its still pretty good. Again, with those customizations, once you'll hit that sweet spot, the experience is amazing. Ghosting: It's there, it happens. But never bothers me enough to really notice. Formats: This is really what sold it for me. I love that I can use different reading apps and read different files. I can literally read anything! Accessories: I also cannot say enough how amazing it is to use a true Bluetooth page-turner instead of the one that you have to place on the e-reader AND use a remote. I've used about 4 different types of page-turners and my favorite, that I'm using for my BigMe, is the IINE mini controller. It works extremely well with this BigMe! Overall: I love it so much and I'm extremely satisfied with this e-reader! I recommend to everyone!

Don't expect amazing color, especially compared to physical art or OLED/LCD screens. The color looks washed out if you use the built-in front light. However, if you treat it like actual paper and use external lighting (like a lamp or overhead light), the colors look pretty good. If you mainly read black-and-white content, keep in mind that the added color layer makes the B&W contrast take a hit compared to dedicated B&W readers. Any extra layers—like screen protectors or digitizers—change how the e-ink looks. It runs Android 14, which has it's pros and cons. I personally chose to de-Google the device. I disabled the Google Play Store and installed F-Droid and the Aurora Store instead. This allows me to keep the device with no screen lock or security. I’m not worried about Google itself, as it requires a password to purchase things, but I’m unsure about external apps. For example, if I downloaded Uber Eats and signed in with my Google account, I’m not sure about the security of ordering from my account. To be safe, I’m not signed into a Google account at all. I wanted an Android e-reader specifically to use Kavita off my home-lab. I tried syncing with Koreader, but it wasn't my favorite experience. Be aware that Android will tank the battery faster than e-readers with custom lightweight operating systems because of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and background services. I get a few days of battery life, which is fine for me, but it might be a shock to those coming from traditional Kindle-style readers. Standard B&W manga looks great. I usually keep contrast at 14, which is "perfect" for most content. However, some colors struggle. For a side story in "Dealing With The Mikadono Sisters," the light red was hard to see, and I had to bump the contrast up to 45. Manhwa & Webtoons... They are readable in my opinon, but e-ink isn't really made for the long-scroll color format. Even if you convert them to a standard comic format, I wouldn't recommend this device if that’s your primary reading material. And most people I think would just recommend getting a cheap android tablet. Standard books, text, novels are where e readers have always shined. I know people who use a 4" e reader and love it. And not something I wouldn't worry about. 6" screen is good if you have my "young eyes," but I think most people will see it as too small. (This is for manga and comics, normal text should be fine on even something like a 4" e-reader.) Most physical manga is closer to 7" or 8". Outliers exist like art books, hard cover, and just big sized (in dimension) manga at 9" - 10". There is the other side of the spectrum like Accel World being 5", which is why I'm good with a 6" e-reader. I wish the physical buttons at the bottom weren't there. They are permanent fixtures. Using Kavita in full screen hides the notification bar and makes manga fit almost perfectly; if those buttons were gone and the screen stretched, it would be a perfect fit. They can be reprogrammed though, if you want to. Or disabled (but not gone), if you accidentally hit them. I think a 7" e reader would be the perfect size ratio for travel. The speaker... is there. Really for system sounds, maybe use it for a podcast / audio book? I don't have my sound on at all. There's Bluetooth if it's not good enough. This maybe a "hot take", but I actually hope we keep bezels on e-readers forever. Unlike a phone, I want something I can actually grab onto without touching the screen. I know many tablets have shrunk bezels as most use it to watch content on it. But I am disappointed in seeing 2 in 1 laptops shrink their bezels (Microsoft Surface). Also saw someone say they couldn't change the date & time from China. Latest OS: Settings -> System -> Date & Time -> Select Time Zone

I am so pleased with this refurbished tablet. Although not mentioned, it came with a protective case that magnetically attaches. The text is easily enlarged ( at 78 I like large text). As my title says, I downloaded hoopla and Libby apps and easily logged into my public library account. I do find the book on a faster tablet / computer and then go and download onto this. If that is what you are looking for, this does the job.

Bought my Bigme B6 Color as a birthday present to myself back in March and have used it faithfully ever since. Was honestly a dream until the screen glitched out on me randomly while reading last week. It has never been dropped, gotten wet, etc (THIS IS MY BABY YALL!!!) Genuinely no idea what happened 😭😭😭 Reached out to Bigme support with the attached video and crickets. So sad 😭

OK e-reader software wise, though I should have gotten the black and white version. The color screen layer is pretty bad. Very fuzzy, low resolution makes everything look horrid. Reading black and white pages is fine, but even then, the color layer does affect the B&W display quality. Get the B&W model if you really want a decent reader. Mine will probably be shelved or donated before long, as the color mode just isn't usable. It looks like the first color e-ink screens from 10 years ago. That is how weak and fuzzy it is.

Not perfect by any means. But this device is slept on. I’ve been enjoying it and it’s only been a couple of hours. Battery is not good, and yes it lags a little. Colors are washed out but I personally don’t care. It had me reading right away, and I’ve had both kobo and kindle. They just weren’t doing it for me, but they do have better screens and better battery life. I don’t usually write reviews but I think this is worth trying out especially if you don’t care about specs too much. Still enjoying but hasnt even been a week and for some reason there are pinholes. These bother my eyes. Please help. I will have to return.

I love this little 6" e reader, and the used one seems brand new. It didn't come with the promised cover, so I reached out to Bigme and they sent one over of the color of my choice!

It’s my favorite device to take around. It has A LOT of quirks. The size is awesome for me I use it side ways to have an easier time with readability on the screen. I haven’t had any connectivity issues. The battery life on the other had is kind of rough. It will definitely last a few days if you have it set up correctly but it does drain when using especially with the light being on. I had a heck of a time trying to put a screensaver on it. Mine has this weird glitch where it turns the picture upside down. Had to remake the image and place it upside down so that it would be read the way I wanted to show. Even with the battery drain and the weird quirks I love this things

It's been a very fun device to use. Brings android to the Eink platform. Very customizable and responsible customer service.

People who have used other e-readers will understand my point better. Some e-readers lock you into their own ecosystems and require you to buy books through their proprietary apps. They also fail to support many regional apps and content in other languages. That is why having an Android-based e-reader is such a major advantage. This is the second colour e-ink device I have used, and I am genuinely impressed with its quality. The six-inch screen is also the ideal size for carrying an e-reader around and using it on the bus, train, or whenever you have some spare time. I would recommend a larger screen mainly for academic and research purposes.

Todo llegó bien y a tiempo, incluye lo que dice la descripción, tenía la preocupación por los tiempos de respuesta de la pantalla para poder leer tranquilo, y sinceramente están muy bien, si deseas un producto con más libertad de entorno que otros similares, este es un ganador (pdfs, web, ebook, etc). Si estás acostumbrado al sistema Android, no dudes, he tratado apenas minutos en configurar, fue un atrevimiento pedir el producto sin reseñas previas. Esperemos se mantenga en el tiempo mi opinión. Considera bien para que lo necesitas , si buscas lectura portable y buen rendimiento, es este.

Hay que quitar varios programas de chinos a inglés y diccionarios chinos pero una vez que quitas eso la batería empieza a rendir.

I bought this to read manga on the Shonen jump app without heavy eye strain before bed. It's fine for what it is. The technology just seems to be not fully there yet to seamlessly turn pages on manga with decent contrast settings for the picture. It'll stutter and lag while transitioning pages and sometimes you'll have to swipe a few times to make it work. It looks good when you have the settings right but the battery life isn't as good as you'd hope for something like this. Changing the brightness can be a pain having to go back through settings since the shortcut is pretty terrible having to trying several times to get the sliders to work. For the price it's pretty decent if not frustrating sometimes and I use it every day so definitely still a good buy for the small niche it holds
