I took a long time to pick a chair!
My old office chair was too mushy, it aggravated my lower back and made my legs go to sleep. This one I chose on reviews. So here is what I like about it.It's got a firmer seat, more like a secretary's chair or a drafting table chair. The recline feature is really cool without being too complicated, you can nap in it. The head rest goes up and down to accomodate whether you're tilting, fully reclining or sitting stock straight up. And you CAN sit stock straight up with good lumbar support. I have been fighting pain in my lower back and this chair gives me relief when I sit it all the way up, pretty much a 90 degree angle. I LOVE it for that.My only complaint is small, that I frequently sit far forward on the seat (not on purpose always) and if I move too fast and am too far forward and catch the leg position wrong, I can tip. But I am adapting, no big deal. It is by no means a deal killer given all this chair has to offer. And thinking about it, the reason it probably does is because I was also very driven to get a smaller footprint chair as my desk and credenza are only 34 inches apart, I needed a chair that could maneuver without making me claustrophobic. This nimble little gal zips where I need her, no prob.HIGHLY recommend.Oh and it WAS really easy to assemble.

Uncomfortable and all plastic/update
it looks great. The seat is plenty wide. The seat cushion is flat and far too firm for long term sitting as far as I am concerned. The design of the arm rests, for a reclining chair ( I did not see the inner structure until buying and building) are cheap and will lead to fatigue in the plastic due to the increased weight applied when reclining.Update: After 9 weeks, the chamber is failing. I would expect this from a 99.99 chair, but not a 199.99 chair. Time to activate the warranty. What a pile of junkI expected a bit more quality based on the chair, price and venue. My chairs usually run 200-240. I purchased this to replace a workpro quantum that was destroyed in my house fire and i KNEW I should have stuck with what I knew was solid. I have to assume this is meant for a wiry kid, based on it being plastic. As a man who is 6'5 and 240, it's useless. So, take my review into context. It may be great for people with smaller frames, but it's uncomfortable and will have a short life for larger peopleUpdate 9/27:Compression chamber fouled, chair started dropping. Company was quick to replace the chamber and, oddly, the chair base. I gave it to my son, hes fine with it, and bought a Serta i5000...and I love it. If you want metal, leather, and durability and are over 6ft 220+, look in to it, not this

Fine with Minor Tweaks for me
205# 5-9Assembly was fine. Yes, it's a lot of thermoplastic, but this is a last minute COVID-19 workstation (WFH) for me - normally I have a Herman-Miller. It was light enough to carry up-and-down 2 flights of stairs. I can't recommend it for bigger than me as the plastic won't hold up to larger frames or bouncing down on the seat. Yes, it creaks a bit when the plastic on plastic rubs. Does that when the assembled joint bolts are too tight. Loosen by a 1/8-1/4 turn. Use a little silicone lube (it's not designed for friction at these points.) The foot rest is a bit fragile, so you'd have to baby it to keep the steel on plastic from breaking off (It's not a Lay-Z-Boy.) If I used the headrest a lot I'd replace it with a metal stemmed clamp-on version. What I did to improve it for me - replace the wheels with the "rollerblade" style urethane ones available here (I picked the $25 ones as I didn't care if they are unattractive over time - the rubber wheel part will darken and get dirty looking over time on the cheaper ones, and sometimes the wheel bearings come apart if they get slammed down.) Then added one of the honeycomb gel 17x17 seat pads (the 1.5+ inch double thick ones) as the seat foam definitely compresses too much for my preferences. The little bag on the right is simply an old fanny pack I strapped to the arm as I like having some pockets for pens and such. Much better than the $99 IKEA variety (I've broken many of those.) and for the price it's got a lot of value. But I didn't buy this for 20 year durability, and it does fine as a interim solution with the upgrades to make it more comfortable and roll easier.

Disappointed
I got this chair November 6th of 2021. It was a huge change to my typical office chair as the ergonomics of the chair helped alleviate some back pain I was experiencing. Now, 2 years later, the pipe cylinder that controls the chair going up and down seem to broke. Every time I sit on it at its max height, I will slowly feel the chair start to sink. Before I know it, I am sitting in the ground. Really irritating that every 2 minutes I need to re adjust the seat. Other than that, I think this chair is awesome. A bit cheap though, since one of the most important parts of the chair broke in 2 years.
