Easy to assemble, just fill it up and screw on the lid. I bought this for gritting the paths when snowy and icy and to an extend it works good but if the salt is damp from being outside in the shed then it clogs up the holes easily. Half the time I ended up removing the lid and spreading it that way. If your salt or grit is bone dry then this would be great but if like me you buy bags of grit from DIY outlets then you'll struggle using the lid

I got this to use with the ice clear, it's handle makes it easier for me to use than the smooth tubes of ice clear. I usually end up dropping the tubes as there isn't anything to grip onto and the tubes can be heavy.So this is just brilliant. It makes putting out the ice clear so much easier and I seem to use less too because of the top with the holes in.Would recommend to anyone with problems with their hands, being unable to grip.

Bought this to hold an amount of rock salt for de-icing my pathway. Not too heaving to hold when full. It holds enough for me to sprinkle along the path about 3 times. Refilling is easy with the small scoop provided. Good quality and seems quite robust.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this versatile spreader. I used it primarily for spreading industrial salt on icy paths etc but it can be used also for many other purposes. Adjustable for whatever is being spread.

This spreader is going to be busy when my monoblocked driveway is slippy,This spreader should let me use less white salt and cover a greater area.I am going to purchase another for round back of house.

Arrived fast. Quite large with a little scoop inside. Dont know if it will disperse the grit via the holes yet as not tested.

Grass seeds difficult to come out. One has to shake vigorously to spread the seeds. Revert back to hand sow.

Easy to use and refill, not so good when the grit/sand is wet. but handy to have at this time of year.
