It is a great classic that will catch a variety of fish. You can fish it on the surface or retrieve it under the surface. I usually start on the surface for a minute or so, then retrieve it underwater. I have caught a huge number of large mouth bass on this lure, and it is always exciting to see them hit on the surface. I have also caught snook in salt water on it. And I'm sure others as well. It is just a great lure, and my favorite color is god.
