Excellent system. Works great once you understand it.
I couldn't believe that this included "everything I need" for the price, but it does: Dongle which converts "White, Red, Yellow" signals - to USB, in addition to an excellent software package which makes it easy to capture video - and then to *edit* that video: yes, this product includes a good video editor. Once I got out an old VHS tape player, hooked up the wires (OK. I had to have my own "Yellow, White, Red" wires - to come out of the VHS player - then connect to the dongle included in this product), connected the USB to my computer, and fired up the capture / editing software, I was able to start saving off all of the old family videos on VHS. Now they're in digital and I can burn them to DVD or just save them as a digital file anywhere. All of that said, there were a couple of start-up things that I had to learn. The instructions say to carefully download a driver. In my case, I'm running Windows 10 - and Windows 10 already had the driver (or automatically downloaded it), point being that I was able to totally skip that step. Next thing was that the video editor has a feature to "start / stop including this video" - as part of a "multi-cut edit". It's a great feature: after capturing, I can just watch the video on my computer, and click to start excluding - then click again to start including - on and on - until I'm done and I click the "go ahead and edit it all down" button - and it just clips out all of the stuff I wanted to throw away. It's great. My problem was that it was counter-intuitive to me: I kept clicking to "clip this out" but that meant "keep this" and vice versa. Once I understood which way the software worked, it works great. The only other problems I've had - have to do with getting the correct kind of DVD blanks for my computer's DVD burner, but that has nothing to do with this package or its software. Bottom line: Nobody knows just how long our VHS tapes will last. They're just magnetic dots on tape. They will slowly demagnetize over time. Don't lose your priceless, unique family videos: instead, buy this system and get them into digital, shareable form. One final remark: Remember that you're taking this video from VHS tape. VHS tape has a kind of grainy resolution that is no fault of this product. If you doubt, then hook your VHS player up to a TV and be reminded of just how BAD our video was - before HD and UHD, and 4K and 8K and..... point being "don't blame this product for VHS-quality video. That's the best that can be done - unless you get some kind of separate video-enhancement software which up-converts". That may exist, but don't expect this very-amazingly-priced product to do that.

Works as described and I'm pretty happy with it!
This product works pretty good once you figure it out. In my case, it took a bit to figure out that it DOESN'T" work with a TV/VCR combo as those are only input and does not output to the computer at all. Once we figured that out, we actually had to buy a used camcorder as ours stopped working a long time ago. It worked perfectly and I've been able to put my home movies into DVD, external hard rive. Dropbox, and even on a YouTube private channel (if they are too long-file too big- to share on Dropbox). I've edited out what I don't need in particular sections thru the program and have done long versions and short versions of the same home movie for the purpose of easy sharing. Something to note is that if you add clips to the storyboard, once you click produce (must choose Mpeg file), it will take all clips on the storyboard and make it into one long movie/file. If you want a short movie clip, then have only that specific clip on the storyboard, then hit produce and save. It actually works perfectly!I'd say that the down side is that there are no extensive instructions on the Help section of the CD that comes with it.

Saving memories.
Like everyone else, we have boxes of VHS tapes sitting in cupboards just gathering dust. In today's instant gratification World, pulling out a tape and setting up a VCR is a hassle and is it worth it?This device changes all that! Very simple set up, took longer to get the VCR working than it did to install the device and software.Once up and running I would start the tape and walk away. Come back later when it had run its course, then just a couple of clicks to save it into a folder and you are done. Now I have 20 plus hours of old home videos that I can stream to my TV and watch again and again, without re-winding. No more "Please be kind, re-wind."Excellent value and so simple to use. Highly recomended.

Do Not Buy
It seemed to install with ease then I tried to use it, complete failure. The software wouldn't work because the drivers were not installed. After several attempts to get the drivers loaded I finally gave up. Then I tried to uninstall the software and all I get is "Installation support file could not be installed Catastrophic Failure" so now I'm stuck with a piece of garbage software on my PC. I sent it back and got a refund.

Sometimes get stuck, but overall, functioning OK.
I had a journey when installing the software on Windows 10. Some missing drivers. The package comes with a DVD but as I don't have a DVD drive on my PC, I asked from the support to download the software from the internet. This was not an easy journey either, but eventually everything was sorted out. Now it is working well (although, sometime it get stuck and need to be resatred)

Updated: works great but
Update: I changed my rating to a 5! I was getting a black screen when trying to view the video and found a patch on the ezcap grabber video drive and don't get the black screen anymore and works well!Original post: Buyer beware. Tech support does not answer.I rated this low because yes, I was able to convert 2 home videos easily with the software, but when I went to transfer a third video, the software was no longer showing the video so I couldn’t tell what parts I wanted to capture to convert. I reached out to the tech support email address provided in the package and never heard back. The product didn’t come with any troubleshooting solutions to help with the software. Now I need to search for a new software and hope the hardware works with it.

EASY, FLEXIBLE, ADAPTIVE
THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY SMALL PRINT AND SOMEWHAT LIMITED,,,,BUT ENOUGH WAS GIVEN, SO THATINSTALLATION,, EVEN WITH VIRUS PROTECTION IN PLACE,,WAS SUCCESSFUL AFTER I :: INSTALLATION : "REPAIRED" (SEEN ON SCREEN, NOT IN INSTRUCTIONS), AND TRIPLE CHECKED CABLE CONNECTIONS. CAPTURE OF VIDEO AND SOUND, DESTINATION,FILE MAINTENANCE, AND PRODUCTION WERE AS ANTICIPATED. EDIT PORTION OF PROGRAM WAS NOT USABLE. I GOT AROUND THAT BY RE-RECORDING PORTIONS I WANTED TO SEND VIA E-MAIL.
